This app is awesome. The UI is beautifully simple and I love how it looks right now. I can add plants and have their watering schedules for free. I really love how the app looks so I am paying the extra 99 cents a month (very reasonable price) for the other features such as fertilizer schedules and so on. This app is literally exactly what I would create as a software engineer and envision as a plabt tracker logging app so I am glad it is already on the app store. One thing I would add to make the app better is if it could sync between my iphone and ipad… as of right now it does not :(
Got this to track my veggie and herb garden. Love the photo idea. More plans need to be added though. No tomatoes? Or any other veggie/fruits? Please expand soon. Also, “sites” don’t seem to be working correctly. I have tried to set them up but can’t find how to add plants there.
I’ve tried many plant care apps and most fall short. There are plenty out there that use faulty algorithms to determine watering frequency. There are just too many variables for these apps to get it right and I think those algorithms are worse than useless, hindering your ability to learn when watering is actually needed, and likely will lead to significant overwatering. Instead, this app does a great job of cataloging your collection and keeping track of ad-hoc and recurring tasks. You set the frequency but you can also look back and see your frequency averages, helping you to adjust care schedules as needed. A couple things I would love to see: 1) plant count. Would be fun to see this number rather than needing to manually count. 2) search feature for searching your own plants. If you have large collections and move plants around, sometimes it can take a lot of scrolling to find the plant in your collection you are looking for. 3) expanded plant library. The current library is somewhat limited.
…I just wish they had more plants in their system. I have upwards of 40 plants in different varieties and most of them are not in the database. Otherwise I like this app a lot.
I have lots of plants, so I had to spend some time putting all of them into the app, but it was worth it. Now I know exactly when to water and treat them based on the schedule I set. Previously I was watering all my plants on one schedule, which quickly became very infrequent. This app is aging me time and effort and saving my plants from death by dehydration. I do wish there was a bigger library of plants, but I didn’t mind putting in my own plants.
Hopefully I can use it on android one day
everything is working great. Thank you!!!
