THE APP
Get the Playmobil Star Trek app and become one of 400! Beam yourself aboard the starship Enterprise as a new crew member. In Command mode you control all the light and sound effects of the Playmobil model, in Couch and AR mode you play through an exciting mission as a new cadet with two mini-games divided into two difficulty levels.
THE SCENE
You'll be on the bridge and in the engine room, interacting directly with familiar characters like Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Chief Engineer Scotty and Helmsman Sulu. Get ready for the typical dry humor that prevails on the Enterprise! You'll solve technical problems and embedded quizzes based on content from the original series. Put your knowledge of the story, the Enterprise, and the characters on board to the test.
THE OPTIONS
Two different perspectives are available for playing: the AR view and the couch mode. Languages are German and English.
THE REQUIREMENTS
AR Mode is not compatible with every mobile device (especially old and low-end devices), so hardware and software frameworks are essential. Devices that do not meet the following specifications may not provide the necessary performance and thus a diminished experience. Compatible are:

Es wird Zeit für ein Update
Zusätzlich zu den von den Vorrednern geposteten Problemen fehlt auch die Möglichkeit, die Konsolenbeleuchtung im Maschinenraum überhaupt einzeln ansteuern zu können. Weitere Missionen sind ebenfalls noch immer nicht erschienen. Ich hatte zumindest auf ein Update im Rahmen des Erscheinens des Bird of Prey gehofft.

Verbesserungsbedürftig
Die Rezension bezieht sich nur auf die App, nicht auf das Modell. Es gibt die App für iPhone und iPad. Die iPhone-App ist soweit in Ordnung, bis auf den Fehler mit dem Beam-Geräusch, wo der Kommunikator-Piep kommt. Tippe ich am iPhone z.B. auf Warpgondel, dann leuchten beide, tippe ich nochmals, gehen sie wieder aus. Am iPad funktioniert das nicht. Da leuchten sie, jedoch geht das Ausschalten nicht, da muss man oben rechts den Hauptschalter nehmen, dann geht alles aus, auch wenn ich nur einen Leuchteffekt ausschalten möchte. Die Schrift ist am iPad zu groß und reicht über die Ränder, die Bedienfelder sind unordentlich angeordnet. Auch das ist am iPhone optisch besser gelungen. Schade, dass sich die App nicht auf die Apple-Watch laden lässt, denn das fände ich schon cool, über die Uhr die Lichteffekte zu steuern. Die App ist also ausbaufähig!
Mir macht’s Spaß…
Da die Enterprise in meinem Heimkino hängt ist es witzig, die Lichter und Geräusche mit der App steuern zu können. Allerdings gibts da einen Fehler in der Soundbibliothek. Wenn man auf „Dematerialisieren“ tippt, kommt das Geräusch vom öffnen des Communicators und nicht das typische Beam-Geräusch. Ich hoffe, das wird noch angepasst. Wäre sonst schon peinlich für ein so teures Spielzeug…
Aufwertung zum Modell
Die App ist eine Aufwertung zum Modell. Lichter und Geräusche lassen sich einzeln steuern. Eine interaktive 3D-Ansicht unter Einbeziehung der Kamera mit Figuren und Aktionen ist enthalten, ähnlich der App zum Playmobil Katalog. Sehr gelungen. Ich hoffe, es wird in der nächsten Version noch etwas ausgebaut.
