Plickers lets you poll your class for free, without the need for student devices. Just give each student a card (a "paper clicker"), and use your iPhone/iPad to scan them to do instant checks-for-understanding, exit tickets, and impromptu polls. Best of all, your data is automatically saved, student-by-student, at plickers.com.
Happy teaching!

September 2018 upgrade
Well I have been using Plickers for some time. The use of cards to collect answers from student is great. However with the recent upgrade this app is no longer useable for me as all my questions that I put in are unusable because of the change they made in Live view. From what I can see they limited the number of characters for the questions so my questions are not complete anymore as they do not show fully. They advertise that you have choice of layout in their pro version. I tried it but still getting the same problem. I wrote them an email as soon as I was aware of the problem and still waiting for a reply. Too bad it WAS such a good app.
AMAZING!!!
Easy to use and SO useful!
Super
Excellente application en salle de classe.
Awesome way to engage students!
Easy to use. No technology requirements for students. Great app!!
Fast and responsive
Great app.
Great tool!
This is so easy to use. The only feature I wish it had was sharing libraries/files across users. There are many that colleagues have created that they would like to share with me. Otherwise, easy to use and fairly quick to get started on.
Easy to use!
User-friendly, intuitive.
Great
Great app! Love using it in class, students love it too! Would like the reporting to work better though...
Great app
Love this app so I can get a snapshot of where my students are very quickly without needing to correct quizzes.
Great teaching tool
I use this all the time for my classes. The feedback you get if you register cards to students is great! Very easy to use and students like that others cannot see their answers. My only complaint is that the questions don't always format nicely in the live view. Pictures cut off the question or it is written too small.
