The moving animals are so cool and it's good that the letter sounds are said. However, using the wrong letter sounds and wrong examples for the letter sounds used would confuse a children who are just starting to learn how to read. This app is nice but needs some corrections. I regret that I bought this. Whoever made this obviously did not consult a reading specialist or even a teacher. The hard /g/ was used for the letter sound but used the soft /g/ as an example - giraffe. Better use G gorilla. For letter /i/ same thing. Could have used I iguana. Octopus or ostrich would be better example for the letter O. The /r/ got bad rolling sound in the UK version. It sounded like /w/. Unicorn starts with the long /u/ sound so it's not good example for the letter sound used. Umbrella fish would match the short vowel sound that was used for the letter U. Vultures scream, they do not make a sound of a man yawning. The /ks/ sound should be used for the letter X and the /z/ for Z. I hope they would correct the mistakes and update the app.

Needs some improvements

The /a/ sound is more like the <o> sound in ostrich, and the other letter sounds should be more like your <s> -- without the /uh/ attached. There is no letter sound(s) for <x>, which should be /ks/, you simply repeat the letter name, unless I wasn't touching the app screen at the appropriate place. It's engaging, but phonemically inaccurate.

Great preschool app

Just what I was looking for for my three year old. He likes the animation and introduction of upper and lower case letters. I tried the lite and decided to get the full. Didn't do that with the other two I tried. They were deleted.
