This map has much more ongormation than you can get on Googles’s online map. You can use Pocket Earth on line and off-line. I use this map as soon I’m abroad. Put the hotel as a favorite as well as restaurants and other spots that interests me.

Die Vektorkarten verbrauchen extrem wenig Platz. Ich nutze es oft, um per GPX-Dateien importierte Routen abzulaufen. Ein grosser Wunsch wäre die Darstellung der Karte und Routen auf der Apple Watch.
Wenn man zum Erstellen einer Route erst stundenlang Versuche machen muss dann ist ein Stern noch zuviel. Das Handbuch ist ebenfalls wenig hilfreich.
zumindest in deutschland hat man nicht überall aussreichende internetkonnektivität um sich onlinekarten anzusehen. Daher ist es nervig, dass die offlinekarten kostenpflichtig sind.
I love PE since many years as it provides so many features to customize the presentation and use of OSM data. However, I noticed now several cases where data on paths were not depicted ( e.g. north-west to Zierow, Germany, or east of Petitmont, France), while buildings added at the same time, were. Other OSM-based apps depicted the paths correctly. Its also quite strange that the forum is apparently out of control as recent postings are only pharma- advertisings. Contact by email or contact box is not working; moreover, the help-forum seems completely out of control (filled with Spam-advertisements for Pharma). Would be very very sad if pocket earth would not survive.
Was mir besonders gut gefällt ist, das es eine Luftlinien Funktion hat und das wirklich fast alle Radwege da sind. Ich bin gerade in Prag unterwegs und mache vom Campingplatz aus Radtouren. Es funktioniert wunderbar. Bin nur abseits der Hauptstraßen unterwegs 👍👍👍
Es stehen zum Beispiel in NRW seit 5 Jahren neue Häuser in einer Siedlung, die auf der Karte nicht angezeigt werden, da ist immer noch „nur“ eine Wiese zu sehen !
Eigentlich eine wunderbare GPS App. Die Karten sind durch die Integration mit Wikipedia gerade auf Reisen super. Es finden sich sehr viele Details wie Spielplätze, Bars, Hotels Toiletten usw. Aber eine automatische Synchronisation über iCloud Drive ist heutzutage wirklich Standard. Sollte unbedingt eingebaut werden. Bei der Routenplanung sollten die Abmaße und Tonnage des Fahrzeugs einstellbar sein. Dann wäre die Navo funktion auch für Wohnmobil- und Wohnwagen Fahrer nützlich. Trotzdem gute App, leider mit ein paar Schwächen.
