Pocket Kado Reviews

Brad‘s review

Virtual pet lover 2008 on

United States

Hello, my name is Brad. I am a blind and visually impaired user. I use a screen reader on my phone called voiceover voice is a screen reader that reads textual elements on the screen as you swipe left and right on your phone screen, it will read the blocks of texts and lines of text on the screen to select a textual item. You double tap it on the screen. Well, in this app, feeding the koala is not accessible to me since I am blind also riding lanterns isn’t accessible. I really want to use this app. I’ve listened to the music and it’s super peaceful so I really want these issues. Issues issues to get fixed.

Stopped Using Because It Can’t Be Concurrently Used With Other Apps

I used meditation app Headspace to fall asleep, and I can’t have Pocket Kado running in the background after I put Kado to sleep if I switch to Headspace. Pocket Kado did help me get my sleep schedule back on track when I first started using it though, so when in a bind do try it!

Doesn’t work correctly

StephBShort on

United States

Every other night I use this app and put Kado to sleep the app doesn’t work. I put him to sleep and set the phone down and when the phone sleeps Kado wakes up. He’s supposed to stay asleep as long as there isn’t another app opened. Kado waking up every time the phones screen shuts off completely ruins the point of this app.

no Nightshift hours

Kathochan87 on

United States

This app is a wonderful idea, but it doesn’t give any night shift hours for people that work overnight and sleep during the day because not everybody sleeps during the same hours.

I don't get it

A lot of money just to read a couple of things and feed a bear with points you must earn somehow.

Good, but a couple things

cupacke306 on

United States

First, I wanted to give this as feedback in app since the original message minor enough that it doesn’t warrant an entire review, however the feedback feature (at least for me) doesn’t seem to be working. When I click feedback in settings, it gives me a couple prompt paragraphs (how likely are you to recommend and what’s the reason behind your score) but no way to answer or submit my response. The actual reason I wanted to give feedback (sorry that this is minor but the feedback didn’t work) is that the note symbol to write a lantern blocks how many likes you have, and this is likely a very minor and very specific scenario, but I’ve noticed icons getting in the way of certain functions so do with that what you will. Anyways, other than that the apps pretty great and I enjoy it. A lot of my issues are minor and more inconveniences than actual problems, so good job.

No more rumble streaks?

Msmsmsmamsmsm on

So first it’s no outfits, and now no rumble streaks with badges…? I was on day 9/10 and the rumble icon just disappeared. I’m hopeful it’s just a glitch… The rumble streaks available were incredibly limited, but it was still nice to have something like that to hold myself accountable regarding my goals for using this app to help me sleep…

Getting rid of outfits was HUGE mistake

LiamCoerr on

United States

I have been a long time enjoyer and user of this app. I think one of the best things y’all had going for you was the library of outfits you could collect for Kado. I even made it a part of My routine that we get dressed and start the day at the same time. I have little to no interest in the new “paint brushes” feature, which is very obviously AI generated libraries of infinite different colors, so we always have something to spend dream miles on? Perhaps adding this In Addition to the outfits would have been a good idea (though again, the way this app has been slapping AI generated text onto its content is not something I support or feel is productive.) At the end of my subscription I’m not going to use this anymore if it remains in the current state, because it just doesn’t feel fun anymore.
