PocketAudio lets you use your iOS device as a wireless soundcard of your computer. PocketAudio automatically forwards audio captured or played on your computer to your iOS device. You can use PocketAudio as a wireless headphones and/or wireless microphone for your computer.
PocketAudio contains both Headphones and Microphone.
PocketAudio (Headphones) can be used to play sound from any Windows or Mac applications. Simply select PocketAudio as your computer's audio output device, and you can now use iOS device to listen to any sound played on the computer.
PocketAudio (Microphone) can be used as an audio input device to Windows or Mac. Speak to your iOS device, and use Windows or Mac to capture or record the audio.
You can use PocketAudio with any application that requires an audio input/output device, including Windows Live Messenger, Skype, AIM, Yahoo, etc.
*** Please note that there is network delay between the computer and iPhone. Therefore, PocketAudio should not be used in situations where delay can be an issue. PocketAudio FAQ
Is PocketAudio free?
Yes, PocketAudio is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is PocketAudio legit?
🤔 The PocketAudio app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I used the app a while ago, so this may not be entirely accurate, but it worked fine, transmitted my voice well. Only issue was latency, but that could be expected as it was transmitting wirelessly, which isn’t known for high-speed, high-fidelity data transfer.
Don’t waste your money it doesn’t work
I tried everything, can’t believe they charged me $4 for an app that just does not work no matter what you do. Please nobody waste your time or money with this
Can’t use with Bluetooth
I have a pair of headphones that won’t connect to my computer. I thought this might be the answer. Connect my phone to the computer and then use the Bluetooth headphones. Nope. This app won’t allow you to send the audio through Bluetooth. Waste of money!
Too slow
Great idea, but it’s too slow. On low quality audio streaming there was a 4 second delay, high quality audio streaming even longer. Hope they improve this, but for now I’m uninstalling.
SIGNIFICANT Audio Lag
Audio lags roughly 5 seconds. Pretty useless app given the significant audio delay.
Meh
I downloaded this app with high hopes and it did not even work, I tried many different ways to get it to work (including reading all the fine print of the instructions) and make sure that it was not my computers fault instead of the apps, when I use the app it's says it is connected and it shows up on my audio input devices on my computer, except when I use the microphone part of this app it doesn't go through
(I was using a pc) so this app might work with a mac but I want a refund
Horrible
I spent four dollars on this app and it doesn't even work right. The audio is horrible it's so choppy you can even make out the audio I totally just wasted my money I want it back I am really upset...
Best APP I Ever Had
I don't think I have to say anything since I have this app 5 stars!. For my use, I don't mind the delay but it would be perfect if an update will decrease it. I wrote a software to control the house using voice commands. I was stuck when it came to the microphone setup I'll need to have a wireless microphone. Then, BOOM!!!. I found this app!. I'm using it to send my voice commands to the computer that is connected to my house circuit and all my commands are clear!.
Keep up the good work!.
Meets a very specific need
I was looking for an app that allows be to speak into my phone to search Google on my HTPC. This works with no issues. For the use the lag isn't a big deal. I haven't used the headphone feature yet but figured it was worth getting. I suppose I could have just purchased the microphone app. This app fits my need perfectly.
I'm sure you guys could figure out the delay thing
Works great, the delay is kind of annoying .. if you want to watch a video, I have found that you can hit j and k in vlc and sync the audio. I am sure this can be figured out, otherwise great software
