Simplicity

Yehovayah on

Each time the iOS updates, something gets broken in terms of the weekly portion. However the list of weekly portions works well. This is simplicity at its best. You can find A daily reading, or the current daily reading when the app is in full working order. You can listen to the reader, you can pause the reader, you can start the reading at any Hebrew phrase or word. What more can you ask! There is a translation if you need it, And if you want to see the dots and titles you can see them. Keep it simple, and it will always be useful.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Needs work

No option to put all portions into English, some of us can’t read Hebrew yet. Also why are there children on the audio function Needs to be adaptable to phones which have larger text size selected, so that the text isn’t super big despite the phones setting not being on that Apart from those things it’s a good app

Fantastic love it

I love the calligraphy; the layout in aliyah's and the translation. If I may be so bold as to as for one more addition to this app... please add a on/off button to show/hidethe Hebrew transliteration. This would massively help my learning to speak Hebrew from the Torah... thank you so much.. Shalom.

Excellent as far as it goes.....

Great start. A keeper.

This app is great, I've been waiting for something like this for years. And you can't quibble about the price. I love the ability to flip between chumash and tikun versions with a quick swipe. But the app is a bit rough around the edges, which is why it gets only three stars: it sometimes switches between the two modes just while scrolling down; I strongly dislike that an errant tap on the screen starts the audio (this capability should be configurable and more difficult to invoke); when scrolling, the chumash and tikun versions often go out of synch. I'd love to see Megilat Esther added to the app too. But as a start and even with those shortcomings, this is priceless and a keeper.

My daughter has Zachor as her haftorah and it is not in the app. Please add the special portions!

Extremely Useful

A great, great help in preparing to read. One demerit: crashes on my iPad Air 4 (but not on my iPad Air 2) when I select “This Week’s Torah Readings”.

This is a really great app but the only downside is not being able to search for your portion and it not letting you save it as your portion
