Poké TCG Scanner Dragon Shield Reviews
App needs a little more features
App needs abit more features for example quick add for certain sets as the scanner doesn’t always work and the bulk scan makes mistakes quite often , I am forced to manually enter each card by typing the name in and it is painfully slow
Great but
I love this app but am having difficulty adding my friend we don’t live in the same place could you perhaps have a find user name? Thanks
Over all its great apart from some cards not scanning. I love this app
Camera
I can’t even scan the Pokemon card. It’s all blurry. I avoid the lighting, I’ve played around with it to see if it’ll scan but it doesn’t. What am I doing wrong?
Forget it if you collect Japanese/rare cards
I was honestly pretty excited to find this app, as the premise sounded great and was exactly what I was looking for in app form (keep tabs of my collection, prices, etc…)
Unfortunately, the app barely met my expectations on a few fronts which I will list below.
1. The scan tool is REALLY hit or miss, especially when it comes to full art cards. If you’re thinking you’ll be able to simply scan all of your cards and add them to your virtual collection, don’t. Some cards do scan almost instaneously, but they are far and few between. Normally they either 1. Don’t scan at all, despite changing the light, angle, distance, etc… 2. Will miscan a card as another (for example my giratina alt art lost origins card kept getting scanned as an unknown card)
2. Forget it if you collect Japanese cards. A lot of rare Japanese cards that I have aren’t even in the database when you search for them (ie my Charizard EX 276 XY promo card). Switching the card to a different language also doesn’t do anything at all (doesn’t change to a photo representing the card in that language, and more importantly, the non-English/American prices).
3. The search tool is way too finicky, and will leave you guessing what a card has been entered as in their database.
4. The prices honestly don’t seem that accurate. I have sold cards easily for more than prices listed, and definitely bought cards for less than prices listed (without having to try hard at all).
5. The overall layout of the app is a little cluttered, and requires one too many steps to add a card, making adding cards a chore instead of a breeze.
I figured I would give the free premium trial a run, and was honestly planning on paying the very reasonable $3 a month afterwards, but I now will probably delete the app as a whole, and just stick to adding cards to my TCGplayer account. Again, just wanted an app on my phone that would allow me to remember what cards I have (especially while visiting shops during my travels to Japan), but this app definitely isn’t it.
If you have a barebones and basic collection, I’m sure it works wonders. Unfortunately, if you have any card a little “out of the norm” (and usually pretty expensive), this app definitely won’t allow you to keep an accurate track of your collection, which is a shame.
Very Handy!
A great app for tracking both collections and decks. The ability to categorize and sort between specific releases of cards is incredibly handy, and the price updates are great as well. The even trade function has served me well at my LGS and for trading with friends.
I do wish there was a way to share the Wishlist or export it to a TCGPlayer cart. IMO as someone looking to complete a few collections that’s one of the biggest things the app is missing.
Great but not perfect
It’s great but most cards aren’t recognized and some aren’t coming up right
Pretty good with a huge exception
The scanner doesn’t work on some cards and when you scan specific energy cards it’ll take you to the wrong, basic card. When your card is a foil and you try to mark it as foil in the system it’ll usually have no value according to the app. But the app tracks the value of the cards very well other than that allowing you to organize your cards by value. It’ll display on the card folder the growth percentage of the value of your cards.
Perfect app just needs to be updated
I have a pack of cards to open and for some reason the app dosent have a 130 hp houndstone
App Reduces Camera Quality
I couldn’t even scan a single card because the app automatically has a reduced camera quality which renders the functionality useless. Immediate deletion.
