I’ve wanted a good travel tracker for years, and this is the top I’ve found. Easy to see where you’ve been and great to add important stopping points. Only piece of feedback: I want to put in an end date *and time*. Alternatively, a way to say “end trip”. None such feature exists, so I find myself disabling the location when I want to do this as a workaround.
So easy to use and a great way to keep track of our son and girlfriend’s adventures. Love that we get notifications whenever they post new pictures and videos and journal entries. The map of where they’ve been and where they are is cool too!
Love that you can map your trip and see the photos with the ability to comment on each step. Such a great way to scrapbook your trip!!!
I began using PolarSteps to document walking the Camino de Santiago. It has worked very well for the most part. In a few of the smaller villages in Spain the location provided was not accurate, too small to register on GPS I suppose.
It’s a great way to keep up with family and friends as they share their adventures on their journey. Love that all the posts can be made into a book at the end…very special!
This is a great Travel tracker, maybe the best! However, does not honor its name, "Polar Steps" I was surprised when I was not able to add locations in and around the Antarctic Peninsula.I would like to include locations of my 23 days Epic Antarctic via Falkland Island and South Georgia Island which both islands are included in the App. However, none of these more accessible locations of the Antarctic Region are not included in the application. Antarctic archipelago Antarctic peninsula Drake Passage King George Island Lemaire Channel Port Lockroy Ross Sea & Ross Ice Shelf South Orkney Islands Subantarctic Islands Tierra del Fuego South Shetland Island Deception Island Antarctic Circle Please include the above location if possible. Our son is traveling the world so this app keeps us informed and updated. My only complaint is that it’s a bit difficult to set up as a follower. I have some family and friends who would like to follow along but can’t get it to work. Other than that it’s really great. We’re thankful to be able to follow his journey
What a wonderful way to share an experience.
Whether your the traveler or the observer its a great way to let your friends know what your up too or following your friends. It’s also a great opportunity to learn about places to go.
I’ve been able to follow my dear friend walk across Spain seeing her pictures and posts and seeing exactly where she is right down to the houses and streets in the villages with the GPS. So easy to use, excellent quality. I can’t wait to use it to track my next journey!!!!!
