I use this app almost every day to see conjugations for all tenses and moods, gerunds and past participles for Portuguese verbs. It’s nice to be able to search in English or Portuguese, and to hear the conjugations in European or Brazilian Portuguese. Great app, it’s kept current, and the developer is always finding ways to improve it.
Program crashing when I try to switch from Portugal to Brazil.
Thank you for the updates! Worth the paid upgrade. This app spoils you with everything you could ask for in a verb dictionary, including unexpected bonuses like iPad support and quality audio pronunciation, which saves me so much time in cutting/pasting or typing elsewhere for audio. The app even offers the option to toggle between European and Brazilian accents. Just look under settings for this feature. I hope the developer will keep supporting updates on this app so that I can use it on future generations of handheld devices. Thank you so much!!!!
This app is well worth the .99 cent price tag. It is very handy to have if you are texting/emailing and want to make sure that your conjugations are grammatically correct. My only request is for the developer to add a "favorites" option. With such a vast vocabulary an option to star or save some words for later reference would make this app a 5/5.
Easy way to conjugate verbs!
This app is marvelous for conjugating portuguese verbs. It has just about every verb you could ever wish for and it has the tables for conjugating them in all forms. My only complaint is that on some of the verbs it goes over the space of the screen so you can't see the end of the word. There is no way to get it to fit. I can't pinch the screen to make the page smaller and rotating doesn't help either because it still fits the same way. Maybe the developer could update it to make sure all words fit the screen? Also, most verb conjugators have a small section to show you the normal verb conjugation patterns. But, that's not really a big deal. This app is well worth it. In fact, I think it's better than my Portuguese verb conjugator book. You can scroll down through the list of verbs alphabetically on the little side-bar or you can type in the Portuguese verb you want right at the top of it and go straight to it.
I've bought three of Ian Tipton's language apps and they are all well done and are amazing resources. I only wish there were more languages (besides French, eww). Some of the english definitions are cut off in this language version - I've never had that happen in the Spanish verb conjugator - but you can logically guess the meaning in most cases.
I think this is better than the book 501 Verbs. I use this app in Sao Paulo where very few people speak English fluently and it has been a lifesaver! I never took a Portuguese class but I am conversational in Italian, and this app was a great way to get the conjugation down in another romance language.
