Poseidon Synth - The Ocean of Sound
For all creatures in the ocean of sound - Sonic textures from other worlds, Analog signature sounds, Cut-through-the-mix leads and silkily smooth pads: Poseidon sets a new standard for sound design and ease of use. All of this was made possible through a combination of the familiar, conceptual simplicity of the analog synthesis and our frequency domain based Spectral modelling synthesis technology.
Spectral model oscillator
Select a basic sound model from over hundred delivered with Poseidon. The basic sound model determines the sound characteristic you want to start: taking a artificial model like “Sawtooth” gives you analog style sounds. Use complex models from analyzed samples for earth shaking ambients and evolving pads.
Model parameters
High level controls allow for changing the spectral shape, the harmonicity and balances the level of residual noise and spectral amount of the oscillator model.
F-Domain Filter
The newly developed F-Domain filter allow for drastic changes in the resulting sound spectrum. Five filter types including lowpass/highpass characteristic can be used to shape the sound. They have the usual controls like cutoff but also very unusual ones like a variable slope ranging from 0 dB to 72 dB / Octave and independent controls for resonance and bandwidth! This kind of controls are only possible in the context of our F-Domain synthesis technology. This results in an extremely clear filter sound with breathtaking fast modulation possibilities. The filter type “Inverse” interprets the sound model as a "Source" and a resonant body "Filter". The cutoff parameter shifts the filterbase - this is the equivalent to making the instrument body smaller or bigger.
Spatializer
This simple control gives your sound a distinctive moving distribution in the stereo panorama. Every atomic sound particle has it´s own path through the space !
Sound browser
The sound browser in Poseidon gives you a fast selection of sounds based on category and timbre.

Poseidon Synth FAQ
Is Poseidon Synth free?
Yes, Poseidon Synth is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Poseidon Synth legit?
🤔 The Poseidon Synth app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This app has amazing sounds and potentials but once the Quantize option is turned off for some mpe action, the disappointment sets in-because it cant decide which note is priority and what others to simply hold still-resulting in a chorus of catcalls
Stopped Working
Is this even the App Store?
Won’t make a sound, no presets either.
Spectacular with one serious complaint
I love the sounds and interface in both stand-alone mode and when using the app in AUM, but I’m sorely disappointed that when using it in AUM, I don’t see any way to switch off quantization. I absolutely love having the ability to easily switch off quantization in stand-alone mode and feel it’s really important to have access to that feature when using it in AUM.
Somewhat working in iOS 12
I upgraded my rating after deleting and reinstalling on iOS 12, I got some but not all functionality.
Wave screen still does not completely work.
I love VirSyn apps but this…
Does not emit a sound, either in a host or standalone. Maybe its I’m on ios 15? This should be made to work before a customer buys it. No manual. I own CubeSynth, AddStation, AudioLayer, Teraverse, and Tera Pro. All work fine. I love them. But this thing appears to be abandonware. I’m getting tired of asking for refunds for apps that do not work. But that’s exactly what I plan to do. Sorry, Harry. But I feel like I was scammed.
Auv3 in GarageBand not working.
Big fan of Harry Gohs apps but some auv3 issues in GarageBand - It won’t load as auv3. App completely crashes and won’t reload. Please explain /help or fix for great review- thank you
All my sounds are gone!
IOS 12.3.1 ..... I opened this app after not having played it for a Loooong time (think I was on IOS 10 last time I used it), and lo and behold all the patches are gone! Please fix this Virsyn! I’m obviously not the only one this is happening too! Please and thank you.
Had to delete then reinstall on iOS 12
This app stopped working on iOS 12. deleting and reinstalling made it work again.
It dos t work anymore ? Please help
This was my favorite synth . I opened yesterday day and it no longer works all the sounds have been deleted ! I pad $20 for this app and now it’s been stolen from me . Please help
Fantastic
This is one of the best synths I’ve tried on iOS. It’s remarkably easy to create your own sounds by importing from AudioShare.
And you don’t need to know what your doing to make something beautiful. The midi implementation makes this a real standout, rock solid with GeoShred, midi guitar, and ChordPolyPad.
A pleasure to use.
