Description

I like to think about this app as a natural evolution of the traditional drawing mannequin. As artistis around the world started supporting it and appreciating it, it eveolved beyond my best expectation in what it is now. Muliple mannequins, shuffling of parts, export of 3d models and much more. The screen space rotation method and others automatic features make your posing process fast and dynamic. Pose and view your reference just the way you need it and strengthen and improve your human figure drawing skills or export the 3d models for your 3d projects.
Poseit was born as my personal tool to help me drawing the most challenging poses, during the lockdown I had to spend my vacations at home and I gave myself the challenge to polish it and publish it (yes it is my very first app). I hope it now can serve others as good as it served me. If you decide to unlock the pro version please be aware that, as solo indie developer, and being a pet project and not my main job, I cannot guarantee a proper support and further development of this app.

A very lovely app, almost Perfect

I've been using this app for years on other platforms as well now, it has proven itself time and time again to be quite helpful at figuring out awkward poses. However, I do feel that the customization options are a tad limited, and not enough body types are quite covered. The Model that I presume was meant as a reference for muscular body types, EcorcheMale I think it was called, is a bit too flat and anatomy model like. I really hope to one day be able to see a model that may have a more burly or swole bodybuilder esque appearance. I also think adding in a customization system that allows you to more liberally manipulate the model in question would benefit the app greatly, in fact I'd be happy to pay extra for it. For example, instead of merely replacing an arm with an arm, or a head with a different head, maybe there could be a way to freely add or remove limbs, heads, or entire body segments. I frequently work with more monstrous or malformed creatures that may have tripple jointed limbs or longer necks, or 6 legs, so a system that would allow the creation of a reference that is much less tied to the regular anthropomorphic blueprint would be insanely helpful. (And also incredibly fun. I found myself playing around with this app a lot beyond just mere reference work, a system to create "patchwork" creatures with legs instead of arms or a second head attached to the chest for example would make this app much more amusing as well. It would also complement the woodwork aesthetic the models tend to have immensely.) In conclusion, this app definitely does its job well, but I think a freer customization system, as well as covering for more body types would make it not only better, but also give it a massive edge over all the other posing apps overall. (Also please add cats and dogs...)

Nice app

I like your App. One question is it possible to import own assets from Nomad sculpt or blender?

Good but not usable

d_dengler on

Great idea, good implementation, but not to use because an error message is constantly displayed. Apparently the advertisements cannot be loaded. With this permanent error display, the app is not usable. Too bad. Such an error also keeps me from spending money on the Pro version.

Ads wanting to load trough paid version

Never really had problems and I am actually very happy with this app but I bought the paid version and it annoys me with wanting to load ads and it’s really penetrant with every two seconds interrupting my progress and work

Issues

Mantrasos on

Germany

I really love the app but I currently have issues that there is permanently an ad screen popping up with an error, that it can’t be filled. I can’t even tap it away

Almost perfect

Almost perfect it just lacks the ability to move two characters within the grid? As in further away or left or right to one another. This would be really useful Edit: thanks for letting me know how to do it!

There is space to improve ;-)

Conclusion: I bought the pro version right away because I wanted the werewolf manequin. (i wish there were more fantasy creatures ;-( ) Although I was a bit annoyed about the cons - the positive impressions clearly convinced me and I would happily recommend this app to any artist who wants to achieve a lot with little! <3 If the counterpoints are still being solved, I'm VERY happy to give 5 stars! Per: - The Pro version is only €4.99! - You can always adjust the luminosity of the light source and even rotate it - You can create different body types with the male and female mannequin - You can export the created 3D model to common clouds that you use with your iPad (e.g. iCloud, Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox). - You can import your created 3D model from cloud into Procreate and use it to paint <3 Cons: - customizing is a bit… annoying. Every slide, tilt, detailed rotate and adjust has to be done with your fingertips. ;-( - the props cannot be adjusted precisely on the mannequins ;-( (you can see, for example, the back of the head or the ears sticking out of the hood or the hat, tested on the werewolf type) - To use more body types or even the werewolf mannequin, you need to buy the Pro version - Werewolf should have more physical customization (muscles on torso, legs etc.)

Exactly what I needed

This is a very intuitive app that compliments my style. I‘ll probably pay for the pro version. Just let me play around a little more. I‘m very impressed right now.

Export doesn’t work

Re-Installed the app, restarted the ipad and nomad…it creats a file round about 1,7 MB but when i import it in Nomad i get an empty screen with no mesh inside? The other Pro Features (like different bodys) are available tough and i can use them. This is really frustrating… Same on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPad 2021 from my girlfriend.

Awesome for artists!

Love this, only wish you could size the models up or down or maybe even scale the bodyparts to your liking. Otherwise, it’s practical and I love the dynamics of creating poses and the models too. Thank you!
