The first Disk Operating Systems were introduced when Tape Memory was replaced with rotating Disks. This was in the 60'ies of the last century. Since then a lot has changed, but many of us remember the days when there was no Graphical User Interface.
This app now is introducing DOS for mobile devices. Not laptops, but phones. iPhone and iPad, to be precise. It is a perfect emulator of the DOS that so many games and applications in the 80'ies and 90'ies have been running on.
Win and Win95 were running on DOS, showing what a 16bit operating system is capable of. If sys ini, commanc.com, config.sys and .exe sound familiar to you, then this is the app for you.
The DOS is not just a CLI, it is a full fledged operating system. It does everything that the Ancient DOS did. It is capable of executing batch files or installing some of the game classics that never made it past DOS. It probably runs much better than the original DOS used to run on old PC's, which were state of the art back then.
30 years is old enough to be called vintage, and it brings as much power as it did back then ;-) With this app you can get this vintage feeling on your iPhone or iPad.

This app does not let you play your programs! DO NOT BUY! Try iDOS 2 instead! Works for me!
Fix file sharing
I try to access the app file but he could can you fix it and add app file please to put ROMs after am gonna rate 5
Utterly pointless
Downloaded this after being led to believe it could run old DOS games. What I got is a seemingly useless app that gives me a DOS prompt and nothing to run, with no way of adding my own games and no instructions. There’s what looks like a button for loading files but it doesn’t do anything. And since iOS 8, because file sharing is inexplicably disabled on this app, you can’t use any of the phone explorer apps to put anything In it. What a joke.

It's a great app, it really is, but there is one promise missing, you said in your description that it has "everything you would expect from dos" but it doesn't, as i have no way of running my own games without modifying the Firmware/Operating system, while ACTUAL dos lets you add your own games and programs without modifying the OS.

It manages to run all my old DOS programs I made
I wrote a bunch of programs in the 1980s and 1990s, and they all run successfully in this DOS emulator. It is also capable of running my old purchased DOS games such as DOOM (When installed via iExplorer)
Needs more features
Would rate it higher if it had MFI gamepad support with configurable keys assignments for each button or directional pad. And also a way to save those templates. One star for each of these requests! Good work!

Worthless
No way to add a DOS app or game an run it, this is just a primitive app that mimics a C: prompt. What a ripoff! And their website is a joke, only 1 page exists and every other page goes to parallel dot com! No help pages, no FAQs, nothing. AVOID THIS WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!
