If you've been asked to design a remote-controlling app for PowerPoint, what would you do?

We've spent 6 months consulting 126 speechmakers from 16 countries, including some TED speakers, to listen to them, to understand what they really need. And then we've spent 68 days to design the interaction and technical detail, and another 92 days to make a breakthrough in Dual-Channel and Asynchronous Validation. Finally, we've spent 102 days to run a massive test. It was not until every button and line of this app was placed where they should be, not until we found all our test users smiling with confidence on stage, not until our users are in close communion with our product that we finally signed our name: Wayhold.

Website not working

Can’t connect device to laptop because the software can’t be loaded - website not found. Can I have my money back?

Game changing

Great functionality. Easy to use. More tutorials would be useful but this is genuinely game changing.

Can't preview

Can connect and control the mouse but there is no preview of current or next slide and so totally useless at the moment. Awaiting response from support.

Very poor

Connected, installed to Mac.. the presentation starts up on command from the phone and the first slide is mirrored on the phone (so the connection is obviously established) but advancing slides does not work. I tried connecting over WiFi as well as via my phone hotspot but neither worked. Also, you cannot control PowerPoint on the iPad from your iPhone, which is another disappointment. Bought in a pinch to present at a meeting but it failed miserably so thoroughly disappointed.

Doesn’t work anymore

This app worked when first downloaded but now I can’t move the presentation onto the next slide. Updated everything and completed a hard resent on both devices, still no joy.

Great but no slide preview?

Looks great and very stable connection but slide preview not showing on iPhone :(

Excellent invention

Team, you saved my day I downloaded this app on weekend and used it today....it was like cherry on the cake !! Keep up the good work Cheers Amit

Works, but not a replacement to a clicker

I downloaded this for a presentation. It does work, but was a bit laggy compared to a USB based clicker. I also couldn’t get the preview to work. I also think for the software to work it needs a lot of access to my PC. Maybe I’m too sensitive, but it felt like too much access so keen to remove software once done. Now I am back to good old clicker, which only cost £8.

Can’t play embedded videos in the PPT

Connection to MacBook retina was easy but if you need to play a video that’s embedded into a ppt then you can’t do it with this app. If you just need to click pages backwards and forwards then it’s ok. You can switch the mouse on from the phone but when I press on the iPhone it activates one of the actions on my Mac that minimizes all screens - in a presentation that’s a disaster you can only correct by returning to the Mac.

I like it!

The one I used before always lot connection at an inclosed conference room, but this one has never let me down.
