It took me more than a week to realize that the “program” is actually just a week. There are no subsequent workouts for the weeks, no matter if it’s a 12 week program or what. So basically, I paid $50 for five days of exercises. I like some parts of this app: the experience while in a workout is pretty nice. Otherwise, - there programs are very few and overly simple - the recording feature of what weights you used etc is not very helpful and not easy to look back at the history - the trial period is very short - this app subscription is way more expensive than some and offers way less. I really wanted to like this app, but ultimately it’s not worth it. Don’t let your free trial lapse like I did.
While it’s a decent app, there are some flaws making it frustrating to use sometimes. I do strength training on the door and the exercises aren’t always grouped to one position and it doesn’t give you time to switch. For example, one exercise will have the band secured at the top of the door and the next will be at the bottom of the door, so I’m rushing to keep on time with the app. Also, sometimes there is a verbal cue to rest, other times it will just go into rest time without saying anything so I’ll be continuing my reps not looking at the screen and I miss the rest/transition time to next exercise.
Extremely well designed App. Can’t stop appreciating the simplicity of the interface. Only problem- no android equivalent
I paid $50 for one year of watching my phone trying to download the app. Never got to workout today because after half an hour of the app stuck on downloading? I gave up & cancelled this crap app. It does absolutely nothing on my Apple Watch, no timers, no anything related to working out. The workouts are all labeled incorrectly when it comes to difficulty levels. Wish I could get my $50 back after less than a month of this app. Horrible. Better band workouts on YouTube and those I don’t have to download. They work for free & include intelligent people who explain & teach you proper body posture for the exercises. TRX it is.
So I really do like the app. My only issue is that I’m limited to only seeing the workouts on my phone. I have Apple TV and it would be great if I could cast to my TV. Or if there was an Apple TV app as well that I could connect my watch to.
I haven’t been using this app long. There are two issues I have. The first is fairly minor. Weight resistance is in 10 lb increments. So, if you’re using something else you have to go with the closest. A minor issue. The other is a bigger problem. I use my phone. During sessions I can’t see the reps. Because the video covers 3/4 of that line. Of course there are work arounds, but if I want to jump right in. It is easy to do the wrong number of reps sometimes. I still love the workout.
At 70+ years old, the dumbbells were just getting a little much for me. I recently purchased a set of resistance bands but wanted a more formal, disciplined training program to best use them. After searching and reviewing a bunch of apps, I found this one and am very pleased with the way it works. I like that it asked for my ability and age before getting started so that the program is tailored to fit me. Additionally, the exercises and accompanying videos work much better than looking at a chart. Highly recommended.
I love Powermove! I used to use dumbbells, but just recently started to use resistance bands to do my workouts at home. This is a great app to use if you're looking to build strength + get into a good workout routine.
I've been using this app for a while now and overall I’d recommend it. I love using the resistance bands, but I have found that the app can be a little buggy at times. There was one time where I was working out and the app just froze in the middle of my session. But I've noticed it get better in recent updates. Overall I do really love the program I’m doing and being able to just follow the videos. Hope they keep adding to it!
