YOU CAN’T MIX FROM THIS APP

The only export option is to send to Studio One- which costs more money. This was a waste of money for me.

DEFINITELY worth the money. Other reviews are incorrect

This app does EXACTLY what it says on the tin, and nothing more. This is what it says: A live TRACKING app! This is perfect for the live “gigging” musician or FOH/A2 engineers and technicians who need to track live and edit later. The app has a very simple interface, and has yet to not recognize a console I have plugged it into. Behringer/Midas, Allen and Heath, DiGiCo, Yamaha... works flawlessly. And, you can select up to 92Khz sample rate *if* the console supports it. Otherwise, it will simply give you a choice of the sample rates available. I am running this on a 7th gen base 10.2 w/128GB memory, and there are no read errors. The default dark screen reads well in dark venues and FOH positions. The battery impact is quite low, with a 1 hour recording session (straight through, no stops) with 15 min before and after set only consuming 21% battery. To those reviews who claim this is a bad product: - This will not record over 44.1k from the internal iPad microphone. Sure, Apple says it can sample at a higher rate, but let’s be honest: These iPad mics are NOT “studio grade”. I should know. I run one. This is just the limit the app puts on the device. That is the way it is. This choice is up to the developers and is probably made for stability reasons. - With the USB-C or lighting to USB camera USB adapter, this will take in any console. It is plug and play. If it does not work, then it is the console that is either not supported or not updated. But, I have tried this on over 20 devices and not a one has been rejected. - No, it is NOT a DAW. If you are looking for an app to edit audio and to mix and master, this is not it. That is because it is not meant to be. It is a tracking app, which for professional engineers is ideal. And, for musicians, is incredibly smart as it only runs the software needed to securely get your tracks down so you can *import* them into the DAW of your choice or to send them off to your engineer. Simple is good. Simple does not crash. And, for $10, of course it isn’t a full DAW. Some reviewers want the world for free and for others to pay them for the privilege. - The track import function does work and works well. You have to be on the same WiFi as the recipient machine, and from what I can see, you will have the best results if you are on Studio One 5 (either stand alone or through Sphere). If you don’t have Studio One, you can still take an external drive and migrate the tracks that way. My theory is that all of the neg

No audio import AT ALL. Cannot paste from capture duo projects either. A total joke. Bought iPad interface $150 only to find out I can only record 2 tracks. Was told to pay $9.99 to buy this. Now I can record 3 or more tracks, but no existing audio is available for import or paste. I need a refund.

Lost a Day of Work

Lost an entire day of critical work simply trying to rename a session file. Highly proprietary piece of software... I could have just used my Presonus device with GarageBand.

Works with Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL

This is a great addition for recording ideas and then moving them over to Studio One. With the lightning to usb camera adapter, it actually works with the Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL. I was blown away because Presonus has some MFI hardware, but I didn’t like them much. It even works with GarageBand too on iOS.

What Can I Do To Fix Issue

GibsonAJ05 on

United States

I love this app and use all the time, it used to work pretty much 100% with no glitches, but for the last year mine will only let me delete ONE FREAKING TRACK AT A TIME, and what I mean is I can only delete one single session and then I have to close the app completely down and restart the app fresh before it’ll let me delete another track/session. Anyone else having these issues?? I’ve been dealing with it but now it’s super frustrating and takes forever. Not efficient at all.

Many, many bugs

pbarton66 on

United States

Bugs to basic functionality throughout the software make this app completely useless. Requires quitting and restarting every two minutes because touchscreen interactivity stops working. Save yourself the aggravation and lost work and find a different app. This should have never been released. Not maintained by the developer.

Worked great... for a while.

Riddleguy308 on

This app has not been updated in a year. It used to run great but now is glitchy, freezes, crashes, and functionality has diminished(no way to reposition events, making overdubs almost impossible). My audiobox needs a replacement so unless presonus gets it together soon I will buy different hardware and switch platforms. Too bad, it WAS a really great system.
