PRESTO E-Tickets, a new convenient and touchless way to pay your transit fare, are now available for Durham Region Transit (DRT), Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) and Oakville Transit customers.
PRESTO E-Tickets are digital tickets that can be conveniently purchased on your smartphone before boarding transit – there’s no more need to worry about finding the correct change before you hop on the bus.
Open the PRESTO E-Tickets app, choose an E-Ticket for the transit agency you are using, activate the E-Ticket and then scan the QR code on the barcode reader at the station or on the bus. An activated and scanned PRESTO E-Ticket on your smartphone is your proof-of-payment, so make sure you have it ready in case of fare inspection.
PRESTO E-Tickets are ideal for occasional riders and visitors or those who may have forgotten their PRESTO card. They can also be used for group travel as multiple tickets can be purchased, activated and displayed for payment by one individual on one smartphone.
PRESTO E-Tickets are currently available on Hamilton Street Railway (HSR), Durham Region Transit (DRT) and Oakville Transit. They are valid for travel on a single transit agency and do not count towards any loyalty programs, discounted transfers or co-fares that may be in place for PRESTO card or paper ticket users.
We recommend always having the latest version of your OS installed to make sure you get the best experience with the PRESTO E-Tickets app.

PRESTO E FAQ
Is PRESTO E free?
Yes, PRESTO E is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is PRESTO E legit?
⚠️ The PRESTO E app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The reader machine sometimes takes awhile to scan the bar code. Takes multiple times till I get a bad look from bus driver :( looking at me like my phone is not working . I hate the feeling when driver gave me a bad look while trying to scan my code 😥
Does NOT work
I would rate it a 0 star if i could 😮💨 I've tried to buy a ticket multiple times and I still couldn't buy one. I've tried on my phone, on my pc, on a new account, on a different day, with adult ticket, with youth ticket, with a different card and NOTHING worked. When I downloaded this app the rating was 4.6 stars... idk how, and when I actually read the reviews a LOT of people had the same issue where the transaction part doesn't go through.
Does not work
I am unable to purchase tickets. My information is filled out correctly and I have money in my account yet I am never able to purchase a ticket, I only receive “There was an error processing this transaction.” The app previously worked but no longer works
Review
Top app
App is a joke
This is the most frustrating ridiculous app I have seen in a long time. Complete waist of time.
Missed bus because the app forces you to update
Its very cool to pull out your phone and be denied access to the bus because the app force logs you out and makes you update the app with no option to update later, whoever designed that needs to use their brain and elaborate to themselves why its a good idea to force the user to log out of their account and make them update the app on the spot, when the only time the vast majority of people open this app is right before the bus arrives. Not a very logical decision and now I refuse to use your services.
Unable to transfer
Hello? If I purchase a ticket at one region I can’t use it as a transfer ticket? I had to pay double ticket for a transfer while my ticket still valid? How does that even make sense.
Payment issues
This app never accepts my valid payment method
Failure
App does not work. Tried to buy a ticket 3 times while the bus was pulling up and it refused to take payment. Waste of time
Terrible :(
I downloaded this app and I was excited to something so easy to use only to experience constant error messages whenever I try to buy some tickets. I’m 100% sure I have money in my account and all my information is correct. This clearly not a bank problem but an app problem which should get fixed.
