Is PRGRM legit?
✅ The PRGRM app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
Love the tutorials and fitness schedule. Unfortunately the app has kinks to work out. The app jumps ahead during workouts and loses the data you have entered previously. No way to backtrack unless starting all over even if you are an hour into a workout. Hopefully kinks get worked out.
Program is great, app is sluggish
The science behind the program, the routines are all 5 star. The app is sluggish. I’m on an iPhone 14 pro with the latest updates and I couldn’t access one of the mobility routines as it was stuck on the first menu page to choose which area of the body I wanted to work on. I selected another mobility training and it did let me select the training area but took a good 3 mins to load the video. I’ve noticed the app really has trouble in areas with not a lot of wifi or 5Gbandwidth. But if I can load YouTube videos in this same bandwidth at the same location (all things being equal) there should be no reason this app can’t start or preload a video. This seems like a coding issue to me.
Learning and loving it!
I’ve been lifting and exercising for 20 years on my own without much direction. Jack’s training programs and exercise education through the app is the first time I have felt real PROGRESS, like I’m finally training smarter instead of harder. I’m learning about how mobility, cardio and strength are interconnected. And I’m learning new skills and mobility routines I’ll have forever. I also LOVE that the program is all laid out for me so all I have to do is follow the exercises. The end result is I’m over 40 and I feel less lower back pain, I’ve gained 8 pounds of muscle, and I have MORE ENERGY!
Very Efficient Workout Program
I’m a big fan of the PRGRM workouts. PRGM consists of three main elements – strength training, cardio, and mobility – leading to an overall approach to fitness. The strength training sessions, depending on the program chosen, have 3 to 4 functional exercises. These exercises are based on movements rather than body parts. Movement are very diverse – comprised of multi-joint movements, body weight movements, and one-leg and/or one-arm movements that require core stability. For each exercise Jack provides a targeted number of reps along with a specific level of effort. The level of effort increases over a four-week timeframe and then the workouts start over with new movements. Four weeks is a good timeline for make progress while still not getting in a rut. (The minimal number of exercises performed is deceptively effective. I’ve made solid gains in strength as well as increased muscle size and tone.)
Prior to PRGRM I never performed mobility work. Now, every morning I do one of Jack’s five minute mobility workouts. I believe these mobility exercises, combined with the strength training warm-ups, have prevented any injuries. I’m also looking forward to starting the 30 day Mobility challenge.
The cardio workouts are also straightforward with a set time and targeted heart rate. Thankfully these are only two days a week…
Jack is very knowledgeable and very professional. He promptly addresses questions that are posted in PRGRM or emailed directly to him. I’d highly recommend trying PRGRM.
PRGRM Has Made All the Difference
I started using PRGRM after years of training on my own. Jack’s methodologies are so spot on and have had a major impact on my fitness. The movements and workouts are balanced and I’ve seen significant increases in all aspects of my fitness. I very much recommend Jack’s programming.
Great fitness program
I’ve been using PRGM for almost a year now and have had a great experience / results so far. I love having weight room plans and videos that explain form and breathing for each exercise. Makes going to the gym easy and helps me stay consistent. The weight / rep log is also great to reference so I know what weight I lifted last session. I recommend this app for anyone who wants to be more consistent in the weight room.
I hear that Jack may be working on a nutrition program. I would love that.
Love this fitness app!!
I have been using this for quite a while and recently had a major injury to my hamstring. I was able to come back and start working out again using some modifications in this program at the lowest level. Then back to the full program. It’s very explanatory. The videos are well done and very obvious at what to do and it’s also very easy to modify if you need to. I also love that I can use different levels of the program depending on what I need to work out and how hard.
Great all around workout.
Last year, I signed up with PRGM right after it launched. I had been looking for a new routine, it had been a couple years since I was in the gym because of the pandemic. I had been follow Jack for awhile on Instagram I always appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into his posts. I completed the Adapt program, which uses elastic bands, at home. It was amazing. Jack explains all the moves in detail and provides timers to give you a break between sets. Towards the end I could really start to see my overall body shape changing. It feels great to see progress especially when you aren’t used to seeing it and especially after working so hard to finish the program. I recently started the Thrive program, it has brought me back into the gym, with free weights and cable machines of bands. I really appreciate the quality that Jack and his team put into this app, I would recommend it to anyone who asks.
Game changer for my personal fitness
I very rarely feel compelled to write a review, but this app has totally changed my personal fitness routine - I’ve been using this app for >1 year, now. I have tried many different apps and personal trainers over the years, and I always felt like I wasn’t getting exactly what I wanted or I would hit a plateau or not be able to see the changes I wanted.
In my opinion, this app is so much better than a personal trainer because it gives you everything you need that a personal trainer would but also has a really strong and scalable program (no pun intended).
I have honestly never felt so confident in the gym (or in the mirror) and I have SEEN results that I have been after for years in a much shorter time than I would have expected. It gives you all the types of fitness that you need and clear form instructions to make sure you are doing moves correctly. The RPE (effort level) was a huge unlock for me to know how much weight I should be moving around vs. arbitrarily picking something up.
All of this AND it has a priced that will be even the cheapest personal trainers (while still delivering a far superior experience). I am a big fan of this app and Jack (who also is so kind and caring about his clients, even the app users).
Holistic plan, excellent app
I’m about to start my fourth week, and this plan is engaging, varied, and encouraging. I appreciate Jack’s form and mobility focused approach. The RPE scale and different plans based on equipment made it very easy to personalize. The app is very intuitive. Workouts are easy to move through, and previous measurements along with form example videos are available with one tap.
