I just bought a Form 3+ resin printer, and I’ve been trying to find an app that can do 3d scans accurate enough to print attachments (e.g. glasses on my face, or a hat on a baby toy). I was skeptical of this at first, because it takes around five minutes of detailed scanning in a well-lit area. (Bright light is key.) The bounding box estimation could be a little better, and some of the interface is unlabeled (like the camera button in the lower right during a 3D scan), and you have to be careful to get all angles of complex shapes (e.g. the neck of a turtle where it meets the shell, otherwise it’s obscured by the head), but this app produces the best scans I’ve seen yet. Overall I would say it’s worth the $30/yr. It would be nice to be able to export once or twice before having to pay, but a dev has to make a living somehow.
