Product Hunt FAQ
Is Product Hunt free?
Yes, Product Hunt is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Product Hunt legit?
🤔 The Product Hunt app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Absolutely negative note for the imposition of the user having to use other accounts (v.g. Apple, Facebook, Google and others) to login/sign in! From what I've seen, it's a pity or a shame I can't be part of this community, but there are rules I don't give in to! Why (😇...) do you insist on accessing data from third-party accounts in order to log in to your app or website? Why don't you do as the overwhelming majority of selling companies do (directly or indirectly - it doesn't matter!) by creating proprietary or exclusive access as the first option, even if this is possibly mitigated by the use of third-party accounts? There are those who don't care about these basic security issues (despite the usual contractual texts - T&Cs and Privacy Policies...), but there are also those (in large numbers!!) where such matters or issues are of crucial importance! I regret this whole situation, which forces me to give the lowest score ever since - iPhones/ iPads and the Apple Store exists (that's a lot of years...).
New UI / Design was a bad move
Whatever happened to the daily simple list that made product hunt simple to browse and discover great software?
The new interface is too busy and incorporating comments on the main feed was not the best idea.
Bad UI optimization
Not optimized for iPhone X.
iPad
iPad version is missing.
Need better customization
iPhone view of daily top 5 is annoying. I want to see all of the products for the day without the extra clicks. In fact, when I miss a few days, I want to continuously scroll from day to day without having to hit the back button.
Can you create a continuous list option of all products?
Simply the best!
Very excited to see for this project! What a great project!
Great product
Love searching for new technology and contributing to the technological community.
Scam these days. Completely worthless
What a scam these days. I am top two for all launches today and I am not featured because I am not paying them extra money. You are a joke. Shame on yoi
Don’t waste your time!
Don’t be fooled, this is a huge waste of time and resources. They randomly pick a couple of companies and only they get featured, see performance ranking, and have a chance to be a top product. Huge waste and a scam - wish they were transparent and treated startups better.
