Productivity Challenge Timer

Gamified pomodoro timer

Published by: Vladimir Jovanovic

Description

Productivity Challenge Timer aims to help you be more productive, more focused, waste less time and so on, you already know all that stuff.
What this app is really about is challenging you to work harder and tracking your work habits. You'll earn/lose ranks depending on your performance, earn achievements and track your productivity over time, so you'll know how long you worked on what and during which days of the week and hours of the day you're at your most productive.
Now here's a few things you should know before downloading:
- This is not an organizer. If you can't keep track of what you're supposed to be doing, this is not the app for you. The app includes tracking of projects so you know how much time you spent working on each of your clients/books/websites/whatever - like a time sheet, but it's not meant to be an organizer or a to-do list.
- This app will not let you pause work sessions or finish them early, so if you have a tiny baby-sized bladder and you need to pause every few minutes, this is not the app for you. The shortest work session you can set is 10 minutes and you're not supposed to be interrupted. Besides, I use this app too, and I'd be the first to abuse that pause feature to go look up useless nonsense instead of getting work done.
- The purpose of this app is not to promote a healthy work-life balance, but to get you to work harder. Because of this, it does not recognize weekends or holidays or parenting or any other excuse people come up with to take time off, and it will demote you if you start slipping. Please don't expect the app to validate your personal goals, its sole purpose is to make you work harder, even when you shouldn't.
That's it, thanks for reading and I hope you find this app as useful as I do.

Productivity Challenge Timer Reviews

One of the greatest productivity apps ever made. Hands down.

Gold standard. The most motivating, productively aesthetic, gamified pomodoro app ever created, for now nearly a decade.

Continues to be my go-to

I’ve been a user for about 7 years. No shiny bells and whistles to it, but it’s a super functional way to track your productivity and keep you motivated. Maybe this will be the year I get my rank up past Obedient Attendant. My one wish is that it was easier to look at the exact amount of time spent in the previous days, rather than have to look at the graph.

Simply Amazing

I religiously use this app. I’d pay for a US themed version, plus or minus the irony lol.

I really enjoy using this app it’s made going back to school way easier. I like getting promoted when I’m dialed in studying and demoted when I decide to slack off. This app has helped keep me honest. I can’t wait to see this app on more platforms

not as good as their Android version

I’m a long-time user of this app and i just switched from Android to iPhone. There are some small differences in this app between the two versions that drive me nuts. If these get fixed then i’m putting my review to 5 stars. 1. I made a backup on my Android phone and restored it on my new iPhone. I have about 3 years of history in the backup. If I go into “Stats” and select “all-time stats” the whole app locks up and it takes forever to load. When I did this on Android, it wasn’t this slow and did not lock up the UI. 2. The iPhone rotary selector drives me absolutely crazy. I want the option to just see a simple list view when selecting a project to work on. Being a long time user, I have a lot of projects and I really miss the full-screen list menu that the Android version has. the rotary selector is too small and it’s hard to see my active projects. 3. under settings, the default time has a minimum of 10 minutes on iPhone. I really miss the minimum of 5 minutes that Android version offers. if these three things get remediated, I’ll put my review to 5 stars. Big fan of this app!

Great App

App is great. Simple enough to prevent me from toying with it unnecessarily. I would like to see the option to notify before a session ends (i.e., alarm when one minute is remaining in session) so I can better use the overtime function. Otherwise great.

Truly fantastic
