Description
"Wells Criteria for PE: Pulmonary Embolism Risk" is a mobile app designed to help health practitioner to determine the risk of pulmonary embolism by using the Wells criteria or Wells score. The Wells criteria for pulmonary embolism is a risk stratification score and clinical decision rule to estimate the probability for acute pulmonary embolism in patients in which history and examination suggest acute pulmonary embolism is a diagnostic possibility. As with all clinical decision aids, the physician must first have a suspicion of the diagnosis before attempting to apply the Wells criteria. History taking and exam should always be performed prior to using the "Wells Criteria for PE: Pulmonary Embolism Risk" app.
