Description

** Spotify Premium REQUIRED - 100% Free, No Ads, no Promos! **
Easily navigate and begin playback of tracks from your Spotify Playlists, saved Tracks, Albums and Recently Played all from your Apple Watch!
Tired of listening to one Playlist over and over? What about having to get your phone out of your pocket during a workout to choose another Playlist? With Pulsar you can simply hit the back button on your watch from any Playlist, Album, Track or Recently Played list and select another.
• View and paginate through all of your Playlist, Albums, Tracks, and Recently Played from your Watch
• Continuous play! Pulsar will automatically play the next set of Tracks from your Playlist, Albums, Tracks, or
Recently Played. Playback will continue until it reaches the end!
• Play, Pause, Skip forward or backward and adjust the volume (watch touchscreen) from your Watch or iPhone
• 100% Free. No Ads or Promos. Simply enjoy your music
Note:
--------------------------------
Pulsar does not play music on your watch, you are still required to connect your headphones or Bluetooth devices to your phone, music will be emitted from your phone. Pulsar allows you to navigate, select, and choose to play tracks from your watch without the need to do so from your phone.
To date, Spotify does not provide an SDK for watchOS, which means I cannot allow playback directly from the Apple Watch. If at some point Spotify allows streaming from watchOS I will work on allowing playback directly from the Apple Watch.

Pulsar Player Reviews

Doesn’t recognize premium account

MintyMocha on

Waste of space. Doesn’t recognize my premium Spotify account and thus won’t allow me to login. No support or help link available; just kicks me out. Don’t waste your time and energy downloading and installing.

Great potential

This app does what it says it does. No hiccups. If you can add volume control via the crown and a complication icon (it's there but no icon) please. Unfortunately, it does not do what I want; play music directly from my watch. Like the developer said, this problem stems from Spotify's end. Best of luck!

Revision for the app

AquaLungs2012 on

Is there anyway between the app n Spotify can a revision be made to not have the phone on you while using the app through the watch. It’s kinda pointless to have the app for the watch when I have to have my phone on me anyways. Kinda feel like it would use 2x the data n it’s a hassle to have my phone while I run

No point

I don’t see the difference between this and the Spotify app other than it lags badly

Doesn't work with new apple watch

Momster11 on

I have a 40mm version 5.1.1 apple watch and IOS 12. Spotify premium. My phone never connects with my watch, even though both are running the app. I even tried having Spotify playing in the background. Too bad it doesn't work.

Good app but...

No icon on the Apple Watch. It’s a blank space. Have to launch the app before you launch Apple Watch app. If I launch the app on my watch, it should launch the app on my phone automatically. Your so close! Fix these issues and it will be a 5 star app!!

Great app to control Spotify from your watch

Wilcjames on

This app is really good. However, the reason for my 4 Star rating is the buttons on the app on the watch or not labeled for voiceover. Also, it would be really nice if we could get a shuffle play when you choose a playlist. Otherwise, very good app!

Does what it claims to do

BaeTheBear on

United States

The app does what it claims to do. You can select, play, and navigate your Spotify playlists and tracks with the app via your watch. However, it does not have the exact functionality as the Spotify app; that shouldn't be expected or warranted for a watch UX. The only thing I'd suggest for the Developer is to improve upon the onboarding UX, as it seems too many people mess that up and end up frustrated. All in all, it's a good app that WORKS and is a solid interim solution until Spotify addresses the market demand for a native Watch app.

Works perfect!

I’m so glad someone made a Spotify app, even if it requires the phone. At least with this app I can leave my phone in my backpack and just use my watch. Can’t wait for Spotify to allow streaming directly from the watch!

Doesn’t work without my iPhone

I thought I could use this app with my headphones alone and not have to have my phone with me m.
