Description

PulsePoint AED is a powerful tool to build, manage and mobilize an emergency AED registry. Registered AEDs are accessible to emergency call takers and disclosed to those nearby during cardiac arrest events.

AEDs are lifesaving devices that automatically diagnose and treat cardiac arrest and are commonly available in offices, airports, schools, businesses and other public places.

The registry grows when PulsePoint AED app users submit the location of unregistered AEDs in their community, making these lifesaving devices easier to find and use when a cardiac emergency strikes. PulsePoint AED also records and displays other lifesaving resources placed at AED locations, including Bleeding Control Kits, Naloxone (e.g., NARCAN®) and Epinephrine (e.g., EpiPen®).

Watch this brief video to see just how easy it is to add an AED to the registry https://vimeo.com/pulsepoint/AED-iOS

You can also add an AED to the registry anytime by simply entering aed.new into your browser.

If you are trained in CPR and willing to assist during a nearby cardiac emergency, please consider downloading the companion app, PulsePoint Respond.

Public Safety Agencies
The PulsePoint-hosted Emergency AED Registry is integrated with leading emergency medical dispatch (EMD), pre-arrival instruction, and tactical map vendors, including ProQA Paramount, APCO Intellicomm, PowerPhone Total Response, and RapidDeploy Radius. These strategic integrations allow telecommunicators to inform callers of the exact location of registered AEDs within familiar applications and workflows. There is never a charge to use or add to the registry.

PulsePoint AED is an end-to-end FirstNet Certified™ application. FirstNet Certified solutions must demonstrate 99.99% availability and pass independent third-party security, data privacy and performance audits.

PulsePoint is a public 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. We offer the PulsePoint AED and Respond apps and the Emergency AED Registry as part of our mission to improve cardiac arrest survival. Excellent public safety resource

“Pending Approval”???

RationalGuyCS on

It appears that all of the more than 60 AEDs in the Colorado Springs area show “Pending Approval”in the app. What does that mean?

The BEST to INSTRUCT where...

PNWcprFirstAid.com on

...to tell someone WHERE the closest AED is 24/7/366 no matter where you are on the globe... ...in the same way we used to tell someone to GO TO A LANDLINE to dial 911! AWESOME phone app!

Dangerous

You require people to signup and have a login before they can use this app? That’s horrible. You can push a signup after the fact, but in an emergency situation, someone could die waiting for your verification email. I downloaded this a few weeks ago thinking it was a brilliant idea and a good thing to have on my phone. Good thing I happened to open it to poke around long before I ever actually needed it. Just despicable.

Works, needs more participation

It works and it’s nice and easy to add an AED to the system, but it doesn’t have all AEDs because they just need to be added. Please use this app and make sure every AED you see is in this database.

Very useful

This app is works really well. It lets you know where the nearest AED is at. You can also add an AED location. It will also notified you if there is there is an emergency near you so you can get an AED. Great app and helpful.

Great app! Help the user

Happy Camper Flyer on

Great app!! Has picture and description of where the AED and instructions, too! Keep in mind that this app is driven by us, the people using it. It needs people to identify where the AEDs are and add it to the app. So we need to help each other, be proactive and add the AEDs. More people need to help adding the AEDs. However, to the developer, is there anyway that the app can get access to our photos? I find that when I see an AED, I want to add it but it can only take a pic within the app. I may it have the time at the moment to add it so having it allow to get my photo lets me enter the info later. For verifying, can you add a feature that will have a notification that an AED needs to be verified near you when you open the app?

Wow

LSBBHILL on

Was at local gym- alarm on my phone went off "CPR NEEDED". Second alarm within a minute. Took me a few seconds to catch on- gentleman had arrested in parking lot. CPR already started by gym personnel, and fire dept paramedics there within 2 minutes. This patient was unable to be saved, but maybe next time. I am amazed at the capability of this app to alert trained first reminders to a crisis nearby. And appreciate the survey that followed. This is an incredible tool that can truly save lives. Thanks so much
