PumpFuse

Pump power monitor & protector

Published by: Visit Basis Tech

Description

The PumpFuse is a power monitor and pump protection controller that works with all types of
sump pumps and utility pumps.
Sometimes your float switch can get stuck and your sump pump runs continuously until it
overheats. This leads to broken pumps and costly repairs.
The PumpFuse detects loss of load and overloads conditions and turns your pump off before it
gets damaged. It also alerts you via smartphone app.
Detects loss of load:
+ Dry running
+ Defective float switch or switch being stuck in a sump pit
+ Pump air-locked
Detects overloads:
+ Jammed or damaged impeller
+ Check valve stuck, closed, or installed incorrectly
+ Discharge pipe blocked
+ Bad bearings
The user can also reset the fault manually or in auto mode the PumpFuse will turn on the pump
after a user adjustable delay.
How does it work?
The PumpFuse monitors the current, voltage and power consumption of your sump pump and
can detect motor overload and loss of load conditions and react to it. It uses machine learning to
set the low and high trip points automatically. No need to guess the power trip values or adjust them
manually.
The PumpFuse requires no external sensors and it is a plug-and-play device. It works as a
smart outlet and can be controlled via mobile app.
Main benefits:
- Compatible with all sump pumps and utility pumps from 1⁄6 HP to 1 HP
- No setup, no additional sensors or changes to your pump system required. Just plug in the
PumpFuse and protect your sump pump from damage.
- Optionally, connect the PumpFuse app and turn the sump pump on and off remotely with
your smartphone. Monitor your sump pump power and receive push notifications when a
critical condition is detected.
- Water resistant and can be used outdoors.

PumpFuse Reviews

Easy to set up and effective

I’ve had this for 5 days since our new basement flooded due to a circuit breaker tripping. It’s been raining in and off since then and I’ve set it to monitor when the pump goes on and off. No problems so far and it’s great to be able to see exactly when and how the pump is working.

Reliable app and hardware

Really appreciate that this product ‘just works’. and allows me to sleep during rain storms. My sump pit is ‘unconventional ‘ and this product (hardware, app, cloud service) has been rock solid. Super happy with it.

I have always wanted to be able to collect data on my sump pump run time for various reasons. This product came along, and I have been using it for two years and have collected so much data. It also gives you incredible insight on the precise power draw during each cycle so you can predict when problems are occurring. The hardware is excellent, and the app is absolutely perfect. I love this thing so much and you will too!

Just the right thing everyone needs

This device has provided me with essential data that gives me peace of mind regarding my sump pump. We moved into a new house about a year ago. From the beginning it was apparent our sump was draining a spring. After heavy rains it runs up to 5,000 times a day. Before getting this application my anxiety was intolerable because I had no idea on the condition of the pump. I now have a battery backup system and with Pump Fuse monitoring the primary pump I have data that I need to assess the situation. This is a great product.

Works great!

Nice to have the peace of mind that my pump is working. Just wish we could set custom time alerts instead of just 10 or 60 minutes.

Does exactly what it says it will do

This is a great device. Super easy to set up. It shows every time your pump cycles and graphs the wattage of the pump cycle. The alert notifications work great. One thing I would suggest to show some sample graphs based on pump size of what a failing pump cycle might look like. Include some form of process of how to use the app to determine your pump health. This would then allow a user to replace the pump before it fails.

Great app for a great product!

Well implemented, works well! Only ask is to be able to set custom idle alert times. It would be great to be alerted if my pump didn’t run for 3 hours etc.

Detected when my sump died

I got Pump Fuse about a year ago to monitor the health of my sump. One day Pump Fuse reported the sump had been running for 8+ hours, then I knew something was up and I started working on replacing the sump before it flooded. Simple device and app, but works well.

I’ve tried 2 other smart devices in an attempt to do what this device does with ease. Perfect for my application. I’m using it on a sewage pump. Just need to know if it’s working. No configuration needed, just link it to your WiFi, and that’s it. Thank you pump fuse.
