Designed primarily for headphone listening, this app features over 80 spacious 3D binaural soundscapes, meticulously gathered by recording artist Lang Elliott in wild areas across North America and beyond. Audio quality is superb throughout.
• Calm yourself with the all-encompassing voices of thunderstorms, rain, wind and waves.
• Sleep soundly to the rhythmical night songs of insects, frogs and whip-poor-wills, enlivened by the distant hoots and howls of owls and coyotes.
• Relax to the gentle choruses of birds at dawn, or the mesmerizing sounds of birds and brooks combined.
• Awaken to uplifting soundscapes that help clear one’s mind at the beginning of each new day.
• Learn about tracks while listening by reading descriptions that include dates and locations of recordings.
• Use anywhere and anytime … in coffee shops, subways, airport terminals, work places … whenever you feel the need to be soothed by nature’s healing music.

• TWO FREE ALBUMS (of six tracks each) are included in the basic app, with many more albums available as in-app purchases.

Why Use Headphones?
My recordings have been made using a special microphone that simulates the human head. To experience the remarkable 3D effect, it is best to listen with headphones, where the right ear hears only the right channel, and the left ear hears only the left channel. While headphones produce the best result, earbuds may also be used, but they often have weak bass and boosted treble. To alleviate this problem, we include a special equalization setting specifically tailored for stock Apple EarPods and AirPods.
To experience nature’s magic in noisy environments, we highly recommend modern “noise cancellation headphones” that greatly decrease the ambient noise. Yes … it is quite possible to relax into pristine nature even while traveling on a subway or flying in an airplane!
When listening via speakers in a conventional stereo arrangement, both ears hear signals from both speakers, resulting in "crosstalk" that degrades the spatial cues responsible for a realistic 3D effect. To improve the sense of spaciousness, try placing the speakers out to the sides. In so doing, one's head reduces crosstalk, allowing one's brain to properly decipher the 3D sound cues. While speaker listening can certainly provide a satisfying experience, headphones typically yield a much more immersive effect that literally transports the listener into wild nature.

I love the concept and the content, but when I wrote to support about an issue with playback, I didn’t get any response. UPDATE 👉 response to developer: I’ve emailed you twice and I didn’t get a reply the second time either. 🤷♂️
Truly wonderful
This app is one of the best I’ve ever tried in the genre. The sounds are so immersive, I feel like I’m in the middle of a forest listening to the wonders of Mother Nature. The price to unlock all sounds is very competitive in comparison with other apps. Highly recommended! Ps. One small suggestion would be to make a widget available please 😃
Profoundly Calming
This is easily the best soundscape app I’ve used. A wide range of beautiful nature sounds. Put in headphones and close your eyes and you can easily imagine you’re in the middle of Earth’s majesty.

For years have loved these kind of apps BUT iOS wouldn’t let me mix audio so after years of waiting gave up. Have had Pzizz for years but for above reason never used it. I listen to podcasts ALL the time! Just this week discovered Pzizz feature called Audio Fusion - Play mood audio in the background!! FINALLY!!! So been searching and found your app and love it BUT....can’t mix audio with other apps. So guess what!? I’m using something else. Good news for you is I keep wanting to hear those sounds! Please make it so. Surely by iOS 13+ it’s easy to do what Pzizz and Portal (my current favrouite) already do. Let me hear these sounds as background to my daily podcasts. Otherwise great job!
The best
I’m a sound engineer by trade and this is the best app I’ve found for immersive nature sounds. The recordings are rich and detailed with beautiful depth Definitely worth getting some headphones for the best experience.

Easy to use, beautiful clear layout with great pictures and amazing sounds
Best app so far
Most nature soundscape apps are short loops but on this one each track last for 10min or longer. I really like the description on each recording, it really takes you to the place and lets your mind imagine you being there. The sound quality is really good, and some, if not most recordings are really special, e.g. elks in Pensilvania. 10points for this. You can tell there’s a lot of effort out I to this. Thanks Lang x
Amazing
This app is simply amazing. I love the sounds of nature, but hearing them recorded and looped usually just doesn't sound real enough to me, but this app is different, you can really feel it was crafted with love and attention, making the sounds come to life. However, I really wish there was an option to download separate tracks, not just whole albums. I think that's the only potential useful feature missing.

This wonderful app brings the sounds of nature to your headphones whenever you want. Super high quality, great recordings. I’m enjoying them very much - the wind recordings are quite spectacular.
