Qingping+

I’m using the app with 3 Qingping thermometers (thread ver), and using Apple Homepod as the border router. Sometimes, they loose connection and you have to reset the device, the syncing is a little slow, the battery last about 6 months, but overall, they work as expected, and the server stores 30 days history for free, which is quite nice.

After 4 months.

With the Qingping air monitor lite, setting the temp to Fahrenheit changes the display on the unit, but the app still shows Celsius. Annoying, but still better than IOS Home.

I don’t know what kind of information Qingping wants to harvest every single time when opening the application, but it makes it impossible to use to change or set any alarms on the CGD1 alarm clock when in the forest cabin without any internet or cell connection. Until this is being addressed I recommend avoiding buying Qingping products, as the app makes them unusable.

The app has a very terriable privacy risk. All data will be uploaded to servers in other country. Developers should allow air data to be recorded only locally and exported locally at all without being connected to the Internet. Developers use the convenient function of email export to induce users to open Internet permissions and cause all data to be uploaded automatically. The crude behavior of some countries is quite disgusting.

The app is not working You can’t set the time

This is Chinese spyware. A mic is indeed inside and other components. It also overlays for screen capture as you can test by using accessibility controls to attempt to invert like any other modal.

The app no longer works on the latest iOS

Nothing works please fix, all it ever says is network error so can’t log in

I have used this product for about 6 months and it has never had a problem. It seems to me that this would be the exact product that Apple would have made if it was in this market. I was recently trying to track down the source(s) of what caused an occasional TVOC spike. This application would show me the time that the spike occurred but sometimes I couldn’t remember what was occurring in my home at that time. I contacted their support group to request that they offer alert options in a future release. They replied that this capability already existed in their companion QingPing IOT application. I downloaded it and it provided the supplementary alerts plus additional historical graphing options. The QingPing IOT app runs in addition to this QingPing app. This allows an extremely rich combined set of display and notification options. The Qingping IOT is the third one listed in the App Store. It’s title is in Chinese but all of the app displays are in English.
