Quick Scan - QR Code Reader

Quick scan was really great QUICK scan app Now with update it is now WASTE MY TIME SCAN. Give me a option just to buy and ditch the adds. Really horrible to use now

I download the free version with ads and it was scanning the bar code I wanted. I then paid for this app and found it was not scanning the same bar codes. The picture quality is better in the free app.

During startup, it has the usual pop ups asking to allow notifications, which are easy enough to decline. However, there was then a pop up question that appeared in a different language so I didn’t know what it was saying, and instead of the usual decline and accept options it only had one option to click on, also in the other language. As there was no way of knowing what I would be agreeing to, and there was no way of using the scanner without clicking the button, I simply deleted the app. I have used it in the past and it was fine, but I’m not going to agree to unknown terms in order to continue to use it, there are other scanners out there.

Full screen advert video now plays after scanning a code. You can’t do anything but close the whole app. Also don’t waste your money on the paid version. It doesn’t let you enable the camera so you can’t use the app. Also no way to contact them to get your money back.

Be careful where you see this app - it attempts to charge you a huge amount for what is a really simple service by placing ads above other more reputable apps. If you are unfamiliar with apps this QR code app might fool you. My daughter told me this after I was about to have to pay $70 for a yearly subscription. I am told QR code scanning is a really basic function that you should not need to pay this much for.

Just seems to open links to other company advertising and applications rather than the company I am actually scanning.

The first qr app i tried that actually gives option to open the link. Thats all i needed :)

Latest update has made this unusable. Was previously the best and fastest QR code scanner I found. Now it is plagued with ads that pop up after every scan and the close button is so small you can’t press it easily. Usability fail.
