Count how many laps each of your students has run and automatically calculate the total distance. Export the results.
Everything happens without a single click and without entering a single name! The app counts how often a QR code is shown. The students have their QR code scanned after each round. Enter a lap length and the app automatically calculates the total distance run and creates a ranking list. This can be exported as a .csv file for further processing.
INFO
This app is based on the popular QR Counter and has been adapted to the wishes of sports teachers. The highlights are the automatic distance calculation, the prevention of cheating and the acoustic lap counter.

-> CREATE MULTIPLE QR CODES ONLINE AT http://www.teaching-apps.com
Simply type in all names/items at once and get multiple QR codes in a PDF, which you can then print and save. It couldn’t be any easier! Each QR code is embedded in a student ID card in a credit-card size. These cards can be used for different apps and uses.

QR Laps FAQ
Is QR Laps free?
Yes, QR Laps is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is QR Laps legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Too bad…this app (and a custom Google sheet we created) had the potential to revolutionize the way we track laps in our PE classes. But the delay of 10 seconds is not long enough to prevent cheating with our setup. I like the developer’s philosophy of “keep it simple” but he doesn’t want to add an option for a longer timeout between scans…so we will (and our entire district) be using a much more complicated and costly solution. If you are a teacher that can stand right next to your device all period and police the scan then this might work. We need to be a little more interactive with our classes so being a scanner “police” doesn’t fit in with our teaching philosophy.
Help!
I have loved this app, but today I accidentally hit delete on my running lap count for my students😭. Is there ANY way to recover my numbers?
Homeschool Gym & Mileage Club
We used this app to track laps for our mileage club. Simplified the process for us. Thank you!
Elem PE
Perfect for elementary PE programs. I use it for mile club and the kids love it!
QR Codes
I am no longer able to create QR code’s. The site says it is forbidden.
Email not working
I love this concept. Yes it would be nice to add a time element so that we could track speeds as well however I am more frustrated that it will not let me email results. Emailing is an option however when I go to do this, the send button stays grayed out and won’t let me press...
Missing a timer for PE & Mile Times
I love what this developer has to offer, but it’s missing the capability of timing the laps. In 5th grade, we time our students for the mile. While lap counting is important, it’d be great to combine the QR Stopwatch & QR Laps for all our teaching needs. Please and thank you! 🙏🏼
Needs work
Paid and downloaded, nice concept except that it does not scan codes quickly. I found that you have to have the QR code completely still and centered on the scanner which is hard for my younger students. This slows down the running times and students get back up at the scanning station. At this point it is not useful for me in the class room.
Not there yet!
You need to combine this with the stopwatch...I need to be able to keep track of laps/distance and time for my PE classes.
