Horrible! Don’t waste your money

This was a waste of time and money. It’s false advertising. It’s not a real world experience, it’s staring at your phone in public. Just walk around your city and save your money.

Kingston Escape

My girlfriend and I had a fun time following the clues, and the story was definitely entertaining. It’s a great way to get yourself out and about during a nice day. There should be a little more attention payed to locations used though.

Something different to do

It was great to do something different in a city with only a lake to entertain you. I like the walking but would have liked a bit more connection to the city and the landmarks in the game area. The puzzles and challenges at each stop were good but there was a lot to read with the storyline, song, and “did you know”. I would only include what is needed for the game…so if putting in facts about Baum, have that info used in the game. I think a more adult version is also needed; one that have tougher questions/tasks and maybe some beverages that can be incorporated! I like that it wasn’t competitive or that speed wasn’t needed. Having it self-paced and allowing for a start time that is up to us was also great. It might be an idea to consider a “choose your own adventure” type game where we have to make decisions which then leads us down paths that can vary from others. Or, possibly have it so that when a person or group registers, they can select what type of game they want to do (competitive, distance wanting to travel, pub crawl- type one, harder or easier, length of game, etc). Appreciate that this was something to do on a Saturday morning in Kelowna! Thank you

Was excited until we weren’t.

Shocked to see the good reviews from other cities (4.5+). We did Kelowna and average review among MANY is 2.7. That is a stretch… while I admire the business model, there was simply no where near enough value or fun in the Wizard of Oz game in Kelowna. Cannot imagine a single person doing their first Quest game in Kelowna (like us) would be in a rush to try again… if price was less than half may try again. To call it ‘Escape Room’ like experience is a stunningly ridiculous comparison.

Disappointing

The Kitchener quest was not as advertised. Although we had fun walking around the city the quest had nothing to do with any buildings or landmarks. Basically you are doing all the puzzles on your phone and the clues are not out there in the city. It could have been amazing and maybe is in some cities but this could have been done anywhere. They got lazy with this one I’d like my money back!

Oz Event Ottawa

I enjoyed the walk around the city. The interaction with the app was good. The games could have been a little more challenging and in most cases involve the surrounding areas more. More items to appeal to the children would be better. Did include a lot of Frank L. Baum history that I was not aware of. If I do another it will likely be with just adults.

I won’t call it a scam but it’s close

Very poorly put together and disappointing, took us through very dangerous and seedy areas of our downtown, do not recommend at all

Great adventure!

We had a blast doing the Oz Quest! It was raining all morning but it didn’t stop us from getting dressed up in costumes and enjoying a fun family experience! Will definitely do again! Looking forward to the next one!! 😃

Expected more

We played the oz escape in Kamloops BC. I didn’t really know what to expect to be honest, as it was my first time. I think I expected a more interactive experience incorporating the downtown core into the game. Incorporating landscapes and clues of the city into the game. The game could have been played at home on your phone as all it did was make you walk a few blocks which unlocked a puzzle on the app totally unrelated to the city or your surroundings. U solve it, walk a couple more blocks and repeat. Yes, it got you outside, yes it incorporated walking which was nice but not interactive at all which I think I was expecting. My group I went out with made it fun and I enjoyed being out with them but doubt I’d pay for another game again if it was similar.

So much fun!

My husband and I took our audult children. By the end they were actually acting like a team! Great experience.
