I love this app! Imam Azhar Subedar understands the unique challenges we face in understanding the Quran. This app is unlike any other Islamic App I have used. It requires you to view the Quran in a completely different lens. In fact the only image that comes to mind is that of a triangular prism, defined as “The refraction of a beam of light depends on its wavelength; different colors of light are refracted slightly different amounts. This is how a prism separates white light to display its spectrum. This only works well when the prism is turned so that the outgoing beam is almost parallel to the surface of the prism.” This app requires you to think about the Quran in many different colors while asking you to change your mentality about what the Quran is actually all about. Love this app because it is very logically written and uses a variety of methods to connect with the Quran, feel it, live it, and finally become it. If you are a lover of visually clean graphics, clear prose, and code minded you will love this app. I also have to say this app is not intended to be a rush through act of study. The app name QuranTrek, is very appropriate as the meaning of the word “trek” is “ long, arduous journey”. Don’t be scared, it is not rocket science. Instead it requires you to delve into understanding the Quran very slowly. Every day is a new step in the trek and you cannot jump ahead. Presence of mind when learning each step and the award of actually living the Quran will slowly come to light. I have not finished my trek yet, I am only on Step 6. But I can say, I feel a difference of soul when reading the Quran with this mindset change.
Qurantrek is an excellent resource for every person who wants to improve their spirituality. Imam Azhar has combined innovation with tradition to provide a holistic experience for every person. I highly recommend the subscription! - Mohammed Wasim Khan | Director of ISRA Foundation
MashaAllah Great initiative. It’s my short daily dose of Quran understanding Initially, I wanted all steps open so I can review it but not any more. Side point: I have an another app called “Quranic” with all steps available buts it harder to open Quranic since I can do it later. I just completed step 18 vs. 9 in the Quranic app. In exercise section of Fatiha, I will recommend adding the reply of Allah swt after every verse May Allah swt make us among the people of Quran. I look forward to next step iA
This is a great course, best thing i like about the course is when Shiekh said you don’t even need to have any knowledge of Islam or Quran to learn what he is teaching. All you need is honest heart and sincerity to yourself to adopt what you learn during this course and you will feel a huge difference in your daily dealings.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this application by Imam Azhar. I’m glad to have downloaded the app and have completed the first lesson. The introduction has been smooth. My only critique at this time are the acronyms that have been presented at the beginning of the Trek. The acronyms are not very intuitive. I had to scroll back to the top to see what the meaning of the acronym was. Although my knowledge is very limited, I’m accustomed to saying those acronyms in Arabic. Perhaps as my journey continues, the acronyms will embed themselves into my mind. However, the initial reading with the acronym was not intuitive. Perhaps having a hyperlink that pulls up the acronym descriptions in a small box when one clicks the acronym may help. The progress meter in the app seems to mimic how I gauge my activity progress on my Apple Watch, which utilizes circles. Seeing an activity tracker of similar nature does help, if you’re an Apple user. When downloading the app from the Apple App Store it did mention that there are in app purchases. It was my understanding this application would have a nominal monthly cost to ensure the app can be supported appropriately. Upon searching through the application, I have not discovered any features that require payment. Perhaps that bridge will reveal itself as I progress deeper into my Trek. So far the application looks great. Insha’Allah I can connect better with the Quran with this app. Thanks Imam Azhar 🙏🏽
