Qustodio Parental Control App Reviews

Purchased upgrade and could never connect my child’s device on the computer

justbeingleigh on

United States

I purchased the upgrade so that I can monitor my child’s phone calls and text messages. However, I have tried over 10 times to connect my child’s device and unfortunately can never find the device. I have tried multiple cords. Nothing I’ve done is allowing me to connect therefore spending $99 a year is a complete waste of money.

Pretty good

HotEod73 on

It’s really handy for both us and our kid, to be honest. Time management is such a useful skill, and this can help with that. One thing that would be nice is if we could say apps like Pandora don’t count against screen time. Also, it would be great if the “find my” feature worked after the time is up for the day.

Not great

ffl84 on

United States

This app looked promising as it advertised everything we were looking for in parental control SW. However, not only was the kids app a NIGHTMARE to install on their device, we DO NOT get records of sent messages by our kid, only those received by our kid- and we do not get all of those either, only select messages. The pause internet feature also doesn’t appear to work as well as advertised. It’s been only 2 days but my wife and I are not happy with this.

It’s OK, but expensive for it’s functionality

cocat1187 on

United States

I just recently downloaded this app and paid for the membership fee. It has helped being able to control activity from my own phone, however the program is pretty all or nothing. Even though they were supposed to be routine routines where I can give partial permission for specific apps, Those partial permission rules don’t work and my children still have full access to all of their games and social media. It only works if I completely lock their phones for bedtime or the phones are completely open. For the price tag, I don’t think the functionality matches. I would expect that the rules for partial permissions would be fully functional And just better.

Unreliable

This app only works half the time. You have to constantly delete it, shut off the phone, redownload it. The blocking feature only works if you block the app you want blocked completely from the main menu, not if you block it for just one day a week. I will be trying another app for parental control.

I’m 18 and still have this it’s awful

Millyvanillu03 on

United States

I’ve unfortunately have had this app since I was about 12. I do think it was helpful when I was younger, the internet is a scary place and lucky I was protected. However now I’m 18 about to graduate and move out and my mother is still wanting this app on my phone and I can’t stop her. I’ve tried pleading with her and reasoning with her but she said she’ll do it herself when she takes my phone at night. I just wish there was an age limit to this thing or something. I have nothing to hide I’d just like to be independent and move on with my life. This app makes me feel like can’t escape my mother. Is there something the developers can do so it gets cut off when I’m an adult?

Renewal

KaiCrull on

United States

I loved this app until this month. I have been using it for over a year. My auto renewal just took place where i paid my $106 for the year and now the app is telling me to upgrade which would charge me another $100+ and won’t let me protect any of my kids devices. I did not cancel anything so there’s no reason the app is trying to say I need to upgrade. Pretty frustrated to be charged $100 for this next year to be told I can’t do anything now.

Inaccurate

Xoxoeah on

United States

Been using this app for a bit, and pay for it, but i've noticed how inaccurate this app really is, there is some apps i've blocked and after doing so I will see that the app will have attempted logins, I will be on the device and not on that app that I blocked and when I check the activity on my phone that has (qustodio parent) it'll show I tried logging into a blocked app which is false. For how much I pay I'd expect it to be accurate but it's far from that.

Wife Made Me Use It On my devices.

BlipsLimited on

All my devices are monitored and she loves it. I hate how well it works and its not cool they made it aljost like tamper proof. Thanks for fixing our marriage and keeping me honest

Scam

angry dadioli on

United States

I paid $105.99 for “Qustodio Complete+Care 1y (Yearly) Renews Dec 20, 2025” Under this subscription I should be able to add an “Unlimited” number of devices protection When I try to add just one more device For a total of 2 devices I get the following message “It looks like you've reached your device limit To continue, remove an existing device or head to the Parents App and upgrade your plan.” On top of the that the developers keep email me about “Get advanced protection for every device - Upgrade now!” This is absolutely unacceptable for an app that cost more than $100
