Raymarine

Sadly after spending a small fortune on new Axiom mfd, I have learned how poorly this app functions on an iPad. Poor Wi-Fi connection from 4 feet away so low resolution display image of the plotter. Also the app does not allow rotation to facilitate inverted tablet use - it rotates the image in one direction only, so I am unable to fit my iPad in its waterproof case in the helm mount I have always used which only fits if the tablet is upside down. Raymarine devs please adhere to iOS application best practises and allow for rotation of the screen. I appreciate it does not work with the tablet in the vertical orientation, but should be allows to work in either of the horizontal rotations.

This latest release of the Raymarine app has totally broken the app. There are so many problems with this app, I really think it needs a complete revision. Main problems: no pull out side bar, horrible and totally redundant close bar at top of the screen, makes it too bright to use at night, just get rid of it. Poor use of screen real estate and poor graphics. I was unable to get this app to do anything so was unable to check if Pinch to Zoom has been fixed. I will continue to use RayRemote, its cleaner, faster, doesn’t need a log in.

Let’s me keep tabs on my boat and gives me piece of mind. One less thing to worry about!

This used to be a great way to connect phone to Axiom and worked ok. But now you need to log in - and there is no way to do this / it just fails rendering the app totally useless. The people at Raymarine obviously want to capture your data - but have made a huge backwards leap. A bit of testing wouldn’t go amiss!

Totally unusable at night and the data panels would be good if the text was not ridiculously small

Now works with A series plotters but requires you to create an account (why?) and the account creation process is very difficult to get working with iCloud Keychain. Stick with the old Rayview app. It works just fine and is refreshingly free of this nonsense.

At long last you can control your Axiom plotter from an iPhone or iPad. This app is a good first release, it is usable, fast, accurate, responds well to touch screen input. We use it to control our plotter (which is in the cockpit) from an iPad at the Navionics station. It needs a (hopefully) quick follow up to sort out some obvious problems: * It crashes quite a lot, not for any particular reason. Restart and it’s all ok. Until the next crash. * Pinch to zoom doesn’t work (not a big deal) * That’s about it Thanks Raymarine. Please update this soon to fix the crashing, please don’t leave us hanging for another year.

There are so many bugs with this app and I really just want this to work. First, I have never been able to set this up as an owner and can only log in as a guest. The owner login fails every time. Next I get a non stop pop up Raymarine wants to use b2clogin.com. This pop up NEVER goes away and I cannot communicate how frustrating this is. Raymarine, you are a huge company, hire a decent developer and for the love of god fix this app!!!!!!

YIKES! Raymarine are we serious? I have been helping you as a beta tester since inception of Lighthouse. This app is beyond bad. App says can’t connect because iPhone not connected to Internet, but I can successfully use the internet to re install the app and search for solutions and post this review.

I love my axiom units but the app crashes constantly.
