Readability’s award-winning Smart Reading & Comprehension Learning App gives your child the effectiveness of 1-on-1 tutoring. Our breakthrough voice-based technology LISTENS while your child READS, highlighting, and correcting any problem words. Kids from kindergarten to 6th grade will improve their reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills all in the convenience of a mobile app.
IMPROVE READING WITH 1-ON-1 TUTORING
Readability prompts your child to read aloud and listens while providing reading help and real-time pronunciation correction as your child reads. If they get stuck, they can tap on the speaker icon to have Readability read the selected passage or word aloud. Readability automatically selects the right reading material for each child to maximize improvement and minimize the reading struggle. Your child will be eager to learn as these fun and educational grade-level stories come to life with bright illustrations.
IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Our industry-first comprehension with Interactive Voice-based Questions & Answers (IVQA™) asks your child questions verbally about the story they just read to improve their critical thinking skills. Your child then is prompted to answer the question verbally to ensure they fully understand what they read. Comprehension is as important as reading fluency, we deliver both in our smart reading app for kids.
IMPROVE VOCABULARY
Readability makes it easy to learn new words and their meaning with a personalized vocabulary list for your child. Your child can long-press on any word while reading to learn its pronunciation, meaning, and add it to their vocabulary list. Their vocabulary list is neatly organized A-Z and by book to further practice, review, and perfect new or difficult words.
SET AND TRACK READING GOALS
Set goals and follow your child’s progress with your very own Parent Dashboard detailing what they have read, reading duration, accuracy, comprehension, and speed. It also provides daily and weekly reading reports for accountability that can be shared with a teacher.
ENGAGING BOOKS
A massive selection of age-appropriate stories and educational works keep kids engaged and learning. Readability is the perfect reading app for kids.

I like this app because it offers a wide variety of books to read, covering various educational levels. Additionally, it evaluates reading level in terms of accuracy, comprehension, and words per minute, which I find excellent. However, I am not going to purchase the app because, when evaluating reading, it only asks one or two very basic questions that anyone could easily answer correctly. I expected more questions for a more comprehensive evaluation of reading comprehension, especially considering advances in AI. For this reason, I do not believe it is worth $139 per year it costs; I might pay half that, which I feel is its true value.

It is so much fun
Worth the money
We homeschool and my oldest (8) was struggling with reading confidence. Within a few uses of Readability, his confidence sky rocketed and he started reading much better. Several months later, his reading level had increased as well. It was worth every penny. The only concern was sometimes the AI would register other sounds or not correct pronunciation, but overall did a great job.
Not what expected
I have a kindergarten and a second grader and it started on the same thing. Would move onto the next work even when they didn’t read it. Am I missing something?
Absolutely love!
I learned about this app in an ad, I downloaded it for my 8 and my 3 year old. The programs they've set for both age groups and skill level is outstanding! Both of my kids absolutely LOVE to use this app and I really enjoy the reminder notifications to keep us on track daily! I can't recommend this enough!
Open the app for yourself
I love this app and we get to read for yourself
Great for both my kids’ reading levels!
My 5 year old would get self-conscious about reading because she couldn’t “read like big sister” yet. Readability helped her gain confidence in practicing reading out loud and working on her words.
My 7 year old can read a bit too fast, which causes her to skip over some words. Readability highlights what she misses, so she slows down to pronounce each word properly.
They both love the app and love reading! Now I just need a second tablet so there’s no sharing issues…😂
Readability is awesome!
We tried Readability for free and loved it!
Getting my daughter to read was always such a fight. She has some dyslexia. On Readability she actually asked to read longer! Definitely recommend for anyone struggling to read.
Wow wow finally
Finallyyyyyy an app that acts like a real teacher with a slow paste and correction l can sit my child alone with the iPad and go make dinner and he’s learning. Also full of educative teachings loveeee it
Needs Work
As a homeschool mom of a child with dyslexia, I really loved the idea of this app. It seemed like it would be something my son could independently do and build his confidence in reading. Instead, it left him incredibly frustrated and feeling defeated. The AI didn’t give him chances to sound out the words, there was delays in switching between the mic and speaker, and if he said something slightly close to what the word actually was it would just continue on and not correct. Even after messing with the settings in hopes of remedying the situation it’s still continued to be a problem. It would be really nice if this initially started helping children learn to sound out words versus just jumping in and reading the books in hopes that they’ll figure it out how to do so. I’m also incredibly disappointed that there isn’t a setting to make it properly fit on Chromebook screens. We will definitely be looking for something that doesn’t leave us both screaming at the Chromebook in hopes the AI will actually work.
