Real Clear Politics Reviews
Login needs fixing
App itself is really good and has loads of info for data crunchers like me.
On latest iOS version, with latest app update, when I try to sign into my account that was made on realclear webpage, the app crashes. Please fix this bug as it is continuous and not intermittent. If I purchase the subscription, I’m sure I won’t be able to bind it to my account. Hope this helps.
Thanks
Best Political Site
Real clear is the absolute best source for all things related to US Politics. Effectively represents most viewpoints and gives them voice
Mobile UX
Needs improvement. Simple - table stakes things like click targets and responsiveness.
Unusable
I wanted to try it out. But the constant pop ups made it frustrating. I could read for one minute without something else getting in my way. Sorry guys, I will not be subscribing.
Pop-ups are crazy!
Used this app for about 2 minutes before getting sick of the pop-ups. Every time you change to a different page, you get a pop-up trying to get you to purchase something. Very, very annoying and would otherwise be a good app.
Best selection of relevant, thoughtful articles
…and side by side choice of thoughtful, well-written conservative articles and mindless, left-wing dribble. You get it all on one page.
Video pop ups
The video pop ups are annoying me. I’m reading an article and suddenly the screen goes black and a video pops up. Don’t want to watch the video. Just want to continue reading so I close the video. Then it pops up again a few moments later. I close it again. Pops up again. Close it again…and again…and again. Ad infinitum.
I’d much rather use the RCP website, but now have constantly sign in since Apple started the private browsing. So I’m stuck with the app.
Is there a way to stop the videos from popping up? If I want to watch a video I’ll click on it.
Real Clear Politics
The best news app on the internet by far.
Excellent. The only thing
it lacks is the ability to comment is I’m not mistaken.
Holy Subscription Pop-ups
First day of using the app. Pretty stoked about the “14 day free trial”, which isn’t a 14 day free trial. It is just a “free version” of the app with annoying pop-up “ads” for a full subscription on nearly every screen change. If you’re going to do a free trial, maybe give the user an experience that would be had with a paid subscription, which is the point of a free trial. Content is great by the way, but I’m not trying the app for the content. I’m trying it for convenience, and it is severely lacking in that.
