RealSelf: Treatments & Reviews

Error messages when trying to use Apple or Google to log in to the app. Frustrating and a waste of time.

This is not an app to trust. Reviews can be removed by Dr request. Do not decide on a surgeon based on this app. My review was removed when a surgeon lied and said I wrote the review for a refund. I actually did not accept a refund because I was told I had to remove my review. I sent the documents to Real Self. They said they “didn’t want to get in the middle” and refused to allow my review. My review did not violate terms of service.

This app is not working well at all now, it’s all glitchy, only loads two reviews, click button to show more reviews, it opens the same two reviews, ads are interfering with content. Get rid of ads and fix the bugs. Zero stars if I could. NEEDS A MODERATOR TO SEPARATE PLANTED REVIEWS VS AUTHENTIC REVIEWS

I love the concept and still frequently use the app. Although it’s nearly impossible to use the screen locks then you have to swipe out and completely restart your research. I’ve had the app for almost a year and have consistently used it and there has been no improvements.

I can’t go even a few minutes without it crashing.

not sure where the 5 stars are coming from cause i have to refresh the app every 3 minutes because it keeps freezing. no other app does that btw

i used to refer to this site so much but its so buggy! i revisited a few provider pages after viewing them last week and most of the reviews won’t show up! its so frustrating. it bugs out and freezes constantly

Cant even read review. Page completely froze. Only way to restart app.

I don’t get we can’t use our location on the app to sort reviews so we can look at providers near us. I go within a category that interests me and then have to look through all the providers. I’m on the east coast and the results go in the following order: Seoul, San Antonio, Illinois, Rio, Toronto. I know from the reviews there are tons of providers in NY and NJ but none of them show up for me. I also can’t click through “my treatments” to get to the sections about those treatments. I have to look through my feed to see what I bookmarked as being interested in and then type it in the search bar. I can’t sort the reviews by “worth it” or not. The app basically has nothing I enjoy about the website. It all seems to show up at random and isn’t useful.

You really can’t trust the reviews from here if RealSelf lets doctors remove reviews that they don’t like.
