But honestly, who has the time?
UNPARALLELED QUALITY —
Built by a graphic designer and a book-jacket designer, our perfect bound, archival books are built in the style of fashion journals. Featuring, bright, full-bleed archival printing, on acid-free uncoated cotton rag, you'll know you're holding something special. With larger page sizes, thicker covers, and better craftsmanship than anyone out there, you'll cherish these for years.
UNMATCHED VALUE —
Include anywhere from 25 to 150 photos per magazine with Recently, and the price never changes.
No hidden 'extra page' costs.
No up-charge for more photos like the other companies do.
MAKE MAGAZINES TOGETHER –
Using Apple iCloud Shared Albums you can collect a whole family worth of photos and publish right from the shared album photos.
FAMILY BUSINESS, SUPPORTING FAMILIES –
Recently is a small, family owned, business. We built the service when we were new parents, for our family. It's hard enough to raise kids, let alone find the time (and an extra hand) to create photo keepsakes with your 1,000s of family photos. Our mission is to build a one handed app that helps simplify your life, and bring your family members closer together.

Recently FAQ
Is Recently free?
Yes, Recently is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Recently legit?
🤔 The Recently app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
It seems like there’s a few minor tweaks that would make this so much better. I wish there was an option to switch photos order around without the app also switching the layout around every time. Like I don’t want a full page print of my burger, but I do want it to be in a page along with three other photos of the restaurant ya know? I have to redo every album 10-15 times before it finally picks a layout that works for the photos. Also, it advertises lots of different photo page layouts, but then only ever does the same two things with my photos. Where are the other layout options advertised?
Subscription only
I’d like to print a few books at once to catch up with a number of years of photos but it seems this isn’t an option - only signing up to a subscription model. Bad business model for my purposes.
Nice books, not so great app functionality
The books I received are nice but process is not great. You can’t see the books you’ve published so I had to wait until they arrived to see what the last photo I had included. One arrived with a photo I don’t think I’d picked for the cover but I can’t go back and see what it looked like when I created it. You can’t save books to wait to order and you can’t group shipping on multiple books.
Beware subscription process
My sister bought me a gift subscription for one year (four quarterly magazines)which was a nice idea, but I didn’t use it right away and now not only have some credits expired, but they have auto-billed a new quarterly fee to my card. My fault for trusting them with my card info (they require it to sign up and publish). Tried to create a magazine today so I could use up the credits and cancel, but the app keeps hanging before the photos are fully loaded. Also of the two magazines I received, the quality was so-so. Paper stock okay, but images looked photocopied and faded.
Love the product, don’t love the app
Received my first magazine and am really happy with the finished product. However, the app is not user friendly and has limited features. Once you place your order you can not view details. It also took a while to receive the magazine and I could not see any tracking information. Also, if you close out of the app and go back it does not save the selected pictures that you’ve been working on. I will keep using because I think the price is great and the end result was really nice.
Disappointing
Heard about the service and signed up, only to be told it wasn't available in Canada. Then I was contacted to beta-test the launch in Canada. I found the app clunky and not intuitive but was not really asked for much feedback as I have been on another beta-test. In any event, I did select photos and sign up with a credit card. As part of the beta test I was told I would receive a free book. No book and when I contacted the owner he refused to honour it. I'll be using an alternative like blurb or iPhoto.
Love my books!
Have made 2 books so far and about to make my 3rd. These little magazines (but better) are awesome! The covers are gorgeous and the paper is good quality. The books are crazy simple to make (I'm terrible with tech), and with little 3 kids, I love how easy it is to keep up with the photos!
(Easy to select and deselect photos from your photos)
Not to mention I can do it all from my
Cell (cause I never get the chance to bring out my computer these days:)
Immaculate service
Get Recently Magazine has now become my favourite and only thing I am a paying subscriber for. I love the fact that they get my recent photos and curate them into a personal magazine. I fell in love ! Everyone should definitely have this app and be a subscriber whether it be monthly or quarterly you won't regret it. Especially if you're a mother you and your children will value it for a life time !
Easy way to print memories
The only thing I have to say is that if you have a low quality image the app won’t tell you and it prints blurry in your book. I love the ease of use and how quickly
I can print a booklet tho!
Love recently
This is perfect for all the pictures in your phone that you swear you will one day print and never do. I now create shared albums for trips or certain events, have everyone share there, then grab that folder in recently and lay out my book. They look adorable stacked on your bookshelf and the kids love looking through them!
