Description

Recurrence helps you manage and track everything relating to the repeating tasks in your life so you never miss a thing again.
Recurrence is more than just another app that reminds you what needs to be done — it tracks what you did, too. An example: you have a pet that needs medication. Maybe it needs checkups at the vet, too. Recurrence can remind you when you need to do give it the medication it needs as well as to arrange a visit to the vet, all while tracking things from past ones — what it weighed during the last visit, which medication was prescribed, and anything else you think might be handy!
By changing the way you think about reminders and repeating tasks, Recurrence becomes more than an app that reminds you to do things — it becomes the place that tracks your entire life as well.
Recurrence features include:
◆ Task tracking and customizable repeats
Create tasks that repeat when you need them to with customizable options including a lock that prevents a task from being checked off before it's ready.
◆ Task sharing
iCloud sharing support so you can complete items with a spouse, friend, or family members.
◆ Task organization
Add tags and more to your tasks and then use advanced filtering options so you'll always be able to find the tasks you're looking for. Or just search, it's up to you!
◆ Task customization
Tasks can be configured to show all kinds of information including the number of occurrences, the last completion, notes, and more.
◆ Siri Shortcut support
Mark tasks as completed using nothing but your voice.
◆ Full task history and notes
You'll see when tasks were completed as well as notes from each completion, great for tasks that you want to keep a track of over time.
◆ Full widget support
Now you can see your recurring tasks right on your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
◆ Cross-device support
Your tasks follow you from iPhone to iPad to Mac and back again with seamless syncing.

Almost perfect

The idea of the app is great and is exactly what I was looking for, but I tend to not use it very often only because of one feature. When a task is overdue, after you complete that item, it should reset and no longer be overdue but instead it stays overdue until you mark it complete a certain number of times. For example: I have a weekly task of “Vacumm” and I have it scheduled to reoccur weekly. I skip this task for an entire month (4 weeks) and then decide to vacuum this week and mark it as done. Instead of resetting and making the task due again next week, it stays in the overdue category until I mark it done for each week it’s overdue, so in this case 4 times. For weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks it isn’t such a big deal, but I have a lot of daily tasks on the app and if I don’t mark things as done for a month, I have to check all of my daily tasks 30 times until it moves to the “due” category. It’s just frustrating beachse the idea of marking each of my daily tasks 30 times to reset them overwhelms me and I end up not using the app at all. I would really like to see an option to have tasks reset back to “due” after marking them complete no matter how long overdue they are. *Update* THANK YOU! The response from the developers was exactly what I needed! Although I still would like to see tasks reset back into “due” once marked completed (especially for tasks that are scheduled for specific days), the “repeat since last completion” feature will be a big help for daily tasks. I have changed my rating to 5 stars and appreciate the devs listening to my feedback and responding so quickly!

Stellar app

I'm not the type to leave reviews, but this app really deserves it. Absolutely phenomenal. Full disclosure, I do have the paid subscription. As a person with ADHD, having a widget that lets me tick of tasks directly on my home screen is a life saver. I have everything from chores to medication to reminders to rotate my passwords. One of the best features is that I can look at my history on a task to see how often I'm actually doing it. This has been incredibly helpful for tracking when I take as-needed medications. Absolutely my favorite habit tracking app, hands down.

Very useful!

This is the only app that offers the right balance between flexibility and robustness vis-à-vis reminders. Love the interactive widget

Please allow more widget customization of the display!

Really like the idea to show the number of days since last done. Please add the same feature to the widget! 🥹

A great tool for keeping my forgetful mind on track

At first I was looking for an app to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries. I tried a calendar, but with all the dates scattered throughout the year it was hard see everything at a glance. I also wanted to have a countdown in days, and I wanted multiple reminders as the day approached. Setting up a calendar was too much hassle and not my style. Next I was looking for an app to keep track of when I got a haircut and to remind me to get another one in a few weeks. I’m bad at scheduling appointments and usually only get it cut when I can’t stand the length anymore. I never remember the last time I got a haircut, but I wanted an app that could tell me this and help me create a better routine. Finally I was looking for an app to help me keep track of household chores. So many things I don’t enjoy doing but need to be done…every week, every two weeks, every Sunday, every second Wednesday, and I wanted something to help keep track of it all. I reviewed many todo apps. I reviewed many routine building apps. They were either more complex than I wanted, or didn’t have the functionality I wanted, or required a monthly subscription, or all the above. I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a simple app to keep track of recurring events. I considered building an app. Then somehow, in a late night scrolling of desperation, I found Recurrence. The UI is simple, the UX is thoughtful. It’s so easy to configure, and you can customize the display of each task to show relevant info about the previous or upcoming occurrence. I used the free trial for only a couple of days then bought the lifetime subscription. This app does everything I was looking for, but it also helps me keep track of things I didn’t plan on. What’s the last book I read and when did I finish it? When’s the last time I called my friend? How many days can I go without drinking coffee? With the “anytime” recurrence feature, there are countless possibilities for tracking these types of things. Do I still neglect my chores? Yes. Do I neglect this app? Sometimes. Has this app help me build better habits? Probably. Would I recommend this app? Absolutely

Must Have!

An amazing productivity app!! Interface feels clean and user friendly! Absolutely love the fact that it keeps track of task completions!!!-Amazing feature. I would recommend including a feature that lets the user re-order the tasks on the item screen, instead of going to the settings. Makes it a lot easier, I like to re-order tasks constantly per priority. Overall, AMAZING APP! A MUST if your deciding on subscribing to it! 😊

Fantastic App!!

I am using Recurrence to keep track of bills, and the websites, due dates, subscription due dates, etc... There are so many things to keep track of and I have found that this app just makes all this easier! I've even added a way to remember Birthdays.

Disappointed

At first I thought I liked this, but needed to make a decent list so I subscribed. It didn’t integrate well on the widget, and that part was pretty essential for me and my list. Life happened and I was one day too late to cancel my subscription. It says not eligible for a refund, which I appealed, and was still told the same. I should get back all, if not at least most, for that month, and feel majorly jipped.
