Using with Link

digitalfatass on

Using with the Komodo Link. The latency is there but minimal. Starts pretty much every time. Sometimes I have to pull the usb side and replug in. One request would be to have the record button when zoomed in. Other than that super happy with this setup. It’s light it’s accurate and it works! Crazy to not need monitors anymore!

Does not work on my iPhone 14 Pro Max

Does not work on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The phone is able to connect to the camera, but the app does not see it. Tried many times. Clicking on “get started” crashes the app. Others have seemingly reported similar issues with other iPhone models that have not been addressed.

Will not find my camera despite settings being correct

rolling stoned 411 on

My Komodo will not show up in the app on my iPhone 12 Pro no matter what I do. I know I have the setting correct, because it shows up on my iPad no problem - so I am able to do it successfully - just not on my iPhone. Also, when I hit the buttons Get Started or Red Support, the app crashes. Every time. This is garbage.

Getting better and better…

One crucial think I’d like to see is in full screen mode, when I ONLY see the video image I’d like to see a red bar/box when recording. Right now no indication and previous version had that. Additionally now there is screen real estate above in 2.35 aspect. Would be cool to have buttons up there. Still DME link g issues but ne thing users need to know is that if your iPhone doesn’t connect you need to turn off all the radios except Wi-Fi. Then it’ll work. Still issues to get into full screen when double tapping on image. About 50% of the time. Only a restart of app can fix it. Thanks for your hard work.

Not working on latest iphone 13 pro max

App does not detect camera on iPhone 13 Pro Max with software 15.6 Tried on two different phones, same result. Works on old iphone X and iPad pro without issue.

Needs iPad Resolution Support

Great App but it’s missing the higher resolution needed for full screen viewing on an iPad. Hopefully RED has that update already under development.

No native iPad support?

I love this app! I’m just confused why there’s no native iPad support. I use an iPad mini as my monitor on my Komodo and an iPad Pro as a secondary monitor. I have to use the iPhone version of this app and stretch it full screen which causes a low resolution UI and pixelated monitoring.

Desqueeze

Any way to desqueeze anamorphic footage 2x regardless of recording mode? Could it control a DJI RS2? Esp. Focus Motor?

Great app

Awesome app to use with KOMODO, I do wish it comes with an iPad version tho.

Very nice, missing crucial functions

CirrusRain55 on

I'm a big fan of this app overall, but it's missing some key features and has a few bugs to iron out. It really needs peaking on the video signal to the phone. You can activate peaking to SDI thru the phone, but that doesn't help if you're trying to use a phone as monitor. Even with the Komodo Link this isn't available. Same for false colors. The Link is disappointing. I was (still am) hoping that the app gives more functionality when connected thru the Link. Zero rn The main "bug" that's very inconvenient is the pinch to go to full screen not working. I think a dedicated button is probably the way to go. Or double/triple tap. It works 1/10 times for me atm, across 3 devices Really hoping to see this go even further! It's cool to play with, but not reliable enough quite yet for set. Keep improving please!
