Almost unusable

App used to be great. Easy to navigate. Great for local news. Then pop up ads came. Fine. Par for the course. Now you have to pay for content. I guess the ads weren’t cutting it. I feel like the Facts is scrambling to find a revenue generator that works, but sadly I feel like they are only shooting themselves in the foot by not balancing it with the effect it has on their readers. Killing their own business. I will no longer be using this app. Plenty of news out there supported by ad revenue and that doesn’t charge readers directly.
Took app off phone. Too many ads on both paid and free versions. Not worth the effort.
I find it hard to believe it even though I paid for a print subscription, the online version doesn’t seem to have a search function and frequently pops up on skippable video ads to boot.
I was hoping this app would have local news stories, like the print version. I found mostly general news that is available on way too many other news apps and outlets. Disappointed to see the sad slow death of journalism has come to Redlands.
When you buy a newspaper that serves a community, you have a responsibility to serve the community. This app, and the paper in general, is failing to do so. The newest stories in Breaking Stories are from four months ago. The calendar section is inadequate. The app is hard to navigate. There are way too many articles from Los Angeles, where the new owners are based, and fewer from Redlands since the paper was sold. The ads are too hard to avoid clicking on. I live in Redlands and recently changed to the digital edition of this paper on weekdays. I'm sorry I did. I'm actually paying for access to this digital paper. The app managers need to do a better job.
I have an iPhone 4s with Verizon and this app crashes on me everytime I click on a story that I want to read. Makes me really aggravated. Please fix. Will the creator of this app contact me and tell me how I can resolve this issue please? Thank you.
I downloaded this app because I thought it would provide me with more local Redlands area news, but am disappointed to find that it does not. And the numerous spelling errors are noticeable, apparently whoever edits this version relies on spellcheck rather than proof reading.
You have everything set up but as a new comer to Redlands, I want be be involved in my community but everything you post has already happened. There isn't even anything on what to do on the 4th of July, it's a shame.
This app does not have the current articles that are in the iPad or paper version. Missing a lot of local coverage especially in local prep sports.
