Relio: Back Pain Management

Manage chronic pain symptoms

Published by: Mindset Health Pty

Description

Relio is the easiest way to self-manage your persistent back pain symptoms at home, without medications. Developed by experts, Relio can help you better manage your pain and get back to your activities with a 6-week psychology-based program.
Relio uses a proven psychological approach to persistent back pain: clinical hypnosis combined with pain science education. Examined in a government-funded study at Neuroscience Research Australia, this approach was found to double the number of people reporting reduced pain and improved function*.
How does it work?
Most solutions only provide temporary or incomplete relief because they fail to target the root cause of persistent back pain, which is an overprotective pain system. Relio can help you learn how to address this overprotective pain system through education and audio-based clinical hypnosis in just a few weeks.
What you get:
- An evidence-based clinical hypnosis program designed by world-leading experts to help you better manage your pain
- Interactive educational content to help you understand why you’re experiencing persistent pain
- Relaxing 15-minute daily sessions that fit easily into your schedule
- Techniques to calm stress and reduce tension
- Strategies to help you safely return to your daily activities
- In-app chat support from real people

Relio Reviews

Fantastic!

Here is a happy revision to my review: They have added additional high quality hypnosis sessions and additional educational content. I now am completely satisfied with my $199 investment. I find Relio far superior to Curable because it’s structured in a straightforward manner, and it’s tone seems thorough and serious without being academic. ———- First the good: The clinical hypnosis sessions are excellent. The audio guidance is relaxing yet forthright. It isn’t “woo woo” with a singsong voice or spa music. The guidance directly addresses back pain and is far deeper than a simple guided meditation. I found the clinical hypnosis sessions to be far more powerful than the meditations in Curable. The information about pain science and back pain specifically was thorough and helpful. Could be better: I agree completely with an earlier reviewer that having only a total of 7 guided hypnosis sessions, which repeat each week is disappointing and repetitive. For this price point and length, it seems 14 sessions would be the minimum. I emailed this feedback and was told the repetition was intentional, but my feedback stands. Although the back pain science in the early part of the program was excellent, they then moved on to using very basic behavior change suggestions such as SMART goals and good sleep hygiene. This is self-help 101 and landed as condescending and simplistic from my perspective. Final conclusion: I did benefit greatly from this program. I appreciated the specific structure of 20 minutes a day. My pain reduced as a result of using it, and if I had it to do over, I would. Also given the choice between Relio and Curable, I’d chose Relio hands down.

And in 30 sessions I’m 50% better. My prayers were answered! Gratitude to Relio.

Quality meditations

These are very pleasant meditations with excellent sound quality. I have tried meditating historically, and have always disliked it until now. I have struggled with back pain for six years and found that these meditations and educational information were helpful to me. I do think that this app is overpriced given the offerings. Curable is the same price and provides more comprehensive services for those who struggle with history of emotional trauma. Relio has better sound quality so if you find that you are easily distracted, the Curable meditations may be a bit annoying.

Works Great, Could be Better

After years of suffering on and off back pain, I can finally say I have seen significant improvement because of this app. The readings are really informative and the meditation sessions are great but there is thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star review. There are only 7 different meditation sessions to listen to. So after about 2 weeks I found myself starting to tune them out while I was listening to them. For a 6 week program there should be a lot more than 7 recordings. I understand that “mastering” the sessions is of importance but 6 weeks of listening to the same recordings is kind of week considering how much you pay for the program. I feel like they should have at least add 14 other sessions to listen to. If they did that, I would be giving them 5 star stars.

Just 2 weeks in and really getting relief

I’ve suffered daily with chronic back pain for about 13 years. I’ve been doing this program for about 2 weeks and I’m already getting relief. I’ve had a few days of of about 75% less pain. My life has gotten then smaller and smaller over the years because I have missed many social gatherings due to pain. I used to dance, run races, play tennis and take movement classes. Being active was my life. This pain has completely eliminated all of f that but now, I truly have hope that I can be active again. I’m excited to keep doing the daily hypnotherapy for even more ease and comfort in my body. I

Happily Amazed!

Just finished my 5th session and am experiencing little to no back pain and increased calm and happiness. I experienced instant pain reduction after the first session! I first injured my back in the military in the 1990’s and again in 2001 and 2009. I’ve recieved nearly 100 injections, years of chiropractic and physical therapy, had the nerve endings burned, paid for laser spine surgery, and most recently attempted high tech traction to gain relief. This app is, so far, the most effective thing I’ve experienced.

My experience has been excellent. It am so glad I tried this. After doing some research in pain science, when this app popped up it was congruent with what I had learned and so I thought I’d see if it could help. Wow am I glad I did! It provided a vital link between the theory and actually retraining my relationship with pain. An led the voice that does the daily sessions is sublime- an absolute must for me.

I treat and have chronic pain. I feel so much better and more in control with the first week of this program. This is an excellent platform and I am recommending and requiring this as part of my pain management program to my patients.
