Lack of instructions and responding to questions

I think it’s what I need and want, but I need a few questions answered. If my own number is in the contact list, will it text me? The sound of the alert is just too low in volume and in tone! The versions seem different, but I can’t tell for sure. I’m Glastonbury buy the paid version, but developer hasn’t responded to 2-3 texts.
