Remo+ : DoorCam & RemoBell

Ever since the app updated about a year ago, it has been a disaster. The app experience is completely unusable. There is no way to turn off “video motion” detections. I live on a busy street where the angle captures cars in the frame and now I get approximately 30+ saved videos per hour! Completely useless when looking for a specific event. In addition, in the old version of the app, I was able to crop the area for video motion detection. I can’t do that anymore, adding to the frustration. Roll back to the old app with the richer functionality or add it into the new version. The current set up is awful.

The foretell itself I have no complaints about. It’s the app. It will randomly log me out and when I try to log back in, it says my password is wrong. It’s not. After a week or two or three, it at some point will let me log back in. So in without access to the doorbell footage for that entire time with no way to log back in. I’ve changed passwords a hundred times and it’s definitely not a wrong password issue. So frustrating just waiting for it to randomly start working again.

I’ve been using my Remo Cam since 2019. I have to reset this system multiple times. It often has time lags. Its supposed to be a 2 way communication but it’s not always clear. Couple of nights ago I heard a loud meow from a cat and a male voice. I have recorded 3 videos with suspicious noise/voice that is not of my own.

Save yourself some grief and money and purchase something else. Too many issues since I purchased and in the end their response was “out of date”.

I really liked this doorbell and app until the recent app update. It’s clunkier and harder to use, now requires multiple clicks to get to the video -that used to be there right when you opened the app. Why make it worse?

Remo + Cam not doing what it should. The good thing about this product is the camera itself is great. It shows a perfectly range of my front door, but doesn’t notify me if someone’s at my door. There are many times when I have sat next to my window and watched my deliveries dropped off at my door and I did not receive a notification someone is there. It works when it feels like it. I have checked my software making sure everything is up-to-date, including Wi-Fi connection. This product is not consistent. Mostly it a fail and not worth the money I spent.

The connection of app is super slow. Notification does not work most of the time => missing call. There is no way to add viewer without giving the main user login information. I will replace the doorbell cam.
