When I first downloaded this app, I was very impressed. Simple to use , turn volume or mute, change channels, go back to the smart hub and turn the tv off, all from my phone!! But what I can’t do is turn it back on from this remote. Not sure why but I did notice it does lose the connection to my phone a lot and and I have to reconnect it. I really want to love this app but I may have to keep looking
Whenever my phone goes to sleep, 80% of the time I have to reconnect the remote to the tv, then every 10th time I reconnect the tv asks if its ok to connect so I have to fumble around finding the tv remote to accept….
My remote was malfunctioning so I downloaded several remote control apps to control the tv from my phone. They all required the original remote to pair/connect with the tv. Since the original remote wasn’t working, I was unable to accept the connection on the tv’s end. After countless attempts with the other apps, Controlmeister miraculously connected without the need to do anything on the tv’s end. Hallelujah! I was just about to give up. I think it’s crazy that modern tvs don’t have a control panel on the tv itself to control the tv without a remote. Until I figured this out, I was unplugging the tv just to turn it off! Ridiculous! Imagine if the outlet was very inconvenient to reach, like behind a massive entertainment center/tv stand! I later found out there is a secret button beneath the center of the tv that can perform limited functions like turning the tv on/off, volume up/down, and channel up/down. Pretty useless if you mainly use streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. Also, why is it so well hidden? I felt like Nicolas Cage in freakin National Treasure! But even with that stupid button, none of the other apps would connect to the tv. I hate when the improved versions of tech lose useful original features…
Awesome. Remote broke, have baby that loves her cocomelon and Mrs. Rachel. This was a life saver.
So simple and free!
Hello, these folks don’t know what they’re doing. I got this app to control my Samsung TV. First thing I noticed was there is no Internet app in the app itself. I contacted customer service and was told Samsung TV’s didn’t have an Internet app on them. I took a picture of my TV Home Screen to prove there was, and my concerns were escalated. That individual sent me a screenshot of where the app was, and I sent him back a screenshot of my app showing there was no such app on my iPhone. I asked for a refund, to which there was no response. I did get an email back saying they’re working on it. Not hopeful. I would not recommend.
So I download it cause I lost my remote but it’s asking for approval witch I can’t give cause I don’t have my remote
It’s not that good
I want to thank y’all so much. I got a new Samsung and the remotes are smaller than a popsicle, talk about chasing your own tail trying to fine it. I personally think the tv people are doing that and then making the apps to get more money. Welp it worked! Thank you for a seamless purchase.
