Does NOTHING it says it will do. The first thing the app does is take you to buy some Chinese dongle to plug into a device with a head jack in order to control it.

You need an ir port in your phone or an ir miniplug transmitter, then it does work. However, I can’t find a way to save the device once it has been found. Some devices I wanted to control did not work with the provided codes or aren’t in the list. Poor grammar and phrasing of various screens and controls, but generally you can figure out what they mean.

The app language is in Chinese so I didn’t get very far, other than clicking on some link to purchase a key? Huh? If you want someone to purchase your product at least have it in their language, give them a chance to at least test it before pushing for a sale. Seriously, I installed it, saw a + sign with Chinese written under it, clicked it, asked me for som y2r key or something of the sort, and no other option but to purchase. Wow! Great app! Not! Not worth the time, effort, or money in comparison to the many other working universal remotes for download. Most are free, and work automatically without any effort to set up. However, the issue is not with my Roku TV being recognized, but an attempt to recognize my Sanyo DVD player hooked up to the TV, which I unfortunately lost the remote to, being like 10 years old. If anyone has a suggestion, please share. As far as this particular app? It never worked besides being in Chinese. In comparison to others? No comparison...The others I’ve tried don’t require any additional purchase to work with your smart devices. Easy to set up, and easy to use, most importantly easy to read in English. As far as the other positive reviews on here? Questionable, considering I’ve never known anyone to purchase anything not in their own language, and not without testing it first or at least knowing how credible the company is. Who has ever heard of this developer? Not me anyway...Not enough to put that much faith in them to give money up front for something that will maybe work when there are plenty other options to download, test for free, then decide. I say B.S. to their reviews! This app gets rated two thumbs down.

I honestly don't know why this app only has three stars. I'm using it to control a homemade IR blaster with my old iPhone 5! As soon as I selected the TV brand, the TV and my surroundsound turned on. I can even use my homemade IR blaster with this app to control my PS4. That's mostly to do with the HDMI control but it still works!! I'm absolutely amazed! Now when I'm out at a restaurant or even a bar I can change the channel without anyone knowing! 😂

YOU MUST PURCHASE THE INFRARED TRANSMITTER TO USE THIS APP! If you do, it works great. That being said, I saw some evidence from my router to suggest that the app may (and I emphasize “may”, because I am not certain) be collecting and/or sending me trash ads or data that I find undesirable. One other person elsewhere suggested something similar was happening to them, but I’m not convinced their accusations were substantiated. Anyway, I like the app and the hardware. I don’t have need of it often, but when I do I will continue to use it. It’s quite well done and has an enormous database of all sorts of devices. Tom
