On the surface, it all appears to function correctly but after all of the progress bars and whistles and bells halt a message appears requesting the user backs up the contacts before removal, this despite a back-up having been made. The choices are Cancel or OK, pressing OK does nothing, all duplicates remain. Maybe I’ve misread the instructions so I’ll persevere and adjust the rating accordingly if I’m proven wrong.

Listed as free but the con is when it finds so called duplicate listings an you click to delete it take you to a pay for it link where you are asked to pay £2.99. I understand people don't do things for free but this is a underhand way of getting your money without knowing it works.
I installed this app yesterday to remove duplicate contacts on my iPad 2. I then purchased the bought version when it advised first backing up my contacts. When I did this it sent an email with an attached file to my IMAP account. The email appeared in my SENT folder on my iPad but not in my INBOX (In MS OUTLOOK on my PC it appeared in both SENT and INBOX of the IMAP account). Since then my inbox has stopped receiving any emails. Before receiving this 'backup' email my account was working perfectly. When I looked at the account settings these were now totally different to the recommended VIRGIN MEDIA settings for an IMAP account.
The description of the app is incorrect, it does not do a basic merge of contacts that match 100%. Instead it wants you to purchase the full app, not very good at all but at least other apps of this nature are up front about it.
Does not work in any understandable way unless you make add-on purchases.
It's ineffective without IAP purchases which are very expensive. Better look to another app for this (cheaper).
Should have given -1 as rating but has to give 1 as minimum. It's a trap to put you buy apps. It says the app does the basic things like delete 100% duplicates contacts but instead it directs you to buy app.
