Renogy DC Home Reviews

Please add scheduling to the app! Allow the user to Let the controller power off DC at set times. Devs other feedback is you might want to adjust the lithium batteries minimal charge voltages because it’s too high I had to manually set lower. Thank you

Sign in requirement makes this worthless

Antipose on

The App like the solar devices to which it connects works fine, but it forces an internet based login. It then “forgets” the login periodically forcing users to reconnect to the internet. I installed the solar in an off grid cabin where internet is unreliable. So when the internet is down I cannot monitor the solar charging because of the App login requirement. I’ll be replacing all my Renogy chargers due to this unnecessary obstacle.

Crooked: Mostly works, okay features

MicClueless on

The app works well, but it’s crippled by the insistence of the maker that it check in with their web before allowing ANY functionality. If you’re not online, and if you have not set up an account with them, the app is useless, no matter how much money you’ve spent on the gear and optional Bluetooth accessories. To me, this is theft, plain and simple: A buyer must be Renogy’s slave—with no privacy—and no rights of ownership to the data stored locally on the hardware they’ve paid for. Renogy, you have no right to force buyers to be your servants. You don’t even need the data. I’ve switched to another vendor to upgrade my household off-grid power systems. Thanks, Renogy, for making a couple of inexpensive toys available for experimentation, but you failed big in this app.

No offline support

You can’t use this product offline. I just need to read my battery voltage with the Bluetooth Renogy Module, I don’t need a login required system. No one that wants to camp should purchase Renogy products.

Can’t sell your battery

Not quite enough on

United States

Sold our camper, battery included. No way to “give” your account to anyone else. Was able to change password, but no way to change email. So you can’t transfer battery monitoring to anyone else. And don’t even try to get “online help” their AI interface is about as useful as a fart in a windstorm.

Worthless app

timewethink on

I thought this would show me the charging stats for my Renogy 12v 50A dc to dc charger with MPPT. I got the One Core with my purchase, I don’t know if the BT dongle plugged into the charger can’t pair with more than one device or what, but neither this app nor the one core are half as good as expected.

Works ok

XXRJXX on

Works ok I suppose but it isn’t allowing me to add warranty cards. It just shows a blank screen.

Useless

rgutierr1 on

United States

Useless app No useful features Need login to connect to a battery Just seekingyour information

Unreliable Software. Horrible customer service

McIntee on

United States

Don’t purchase their products expecting their software to work with them. They have unqualified hack software “engineers” that will brick and screw up everything on every other update. They don’t thoroughly test their software before pushing it out.

Focus on your user

Oakley C on

United States

Disappointed with the DC Home app and its integration with my Renogy devices. The app has to be hard-reset each time I open it to get the “live” data, even though the monitor is indicating live information. The app has a bunch of superfluous sales and social features that add no value for me and likely many others (who wants more forms of social media these days?)
