Re:Reddit

A new mobile reddit experience

Published by: Michael Cacciatore

Description

When we lost Apollo on June 30, 2023, it was a sad day for all iPhone users. This safari extension makes change to the reddit mobile experience to make it way more usable on iOS. This is not perfect by any stretch of the means, but this gets me (personally) to a good baseline experience and I will be making many more changes in the future.
Changes:
Redirects reddit.com to old.reddit.com
Removes custom stylesheets from subreddits
Adds in custom JS and CSS to make old reddit MUCH more user friendly on mobile.
Features:
Browse the frontpage of reddit.com without anything blocking your view
Browse the frontpage of reddit.com without having to zoom in
Easier to click on button or view comments with bigger buttons
View threads and post replies
Send and receive private messages
Ability to login/logout of your reddit.com account

In the future, this will be an entire front end replacement for reddit.
