Resident Evil 4

If you are visually impaired, as I am; then you can forget about this game. Even if you play it on a big screen. Wondering if anyone can read what is written and what is in the menus. I have played, and play many other games that do not suck like this.

This is a fantastic game, however Please enable full-screen and a 60 fps option with the M4 iPads!

The first 20 minutes are fun. The graphics are amazing and runs great with the highest settings on M1 Max. However, in the first big fight, when you get to the small village and the guy with the chain saw appears, it's impossible to beat. I'm playing the game on the easiest mode, but there's still over 30 people trying to kill me and the guy with the chain saw. You can kill about half of them with your gun, but then the ammo runs out (yes I have collected all the ammo I've found) so you have to use the knife. However, it's impossible to kill the rest with your knife since they attack as a group. When you're using your knife on one of them, you still have 10 others attacking you from behind. I spent the last hour trying to beat this, but I'm unable to. Feels like it went from 0 to 100 without any proper warm-up, and for newer player like myself, this fight needs to be easier when playing on the easiest setting. Getting attacked by 30 people out of nowhere is not fun. This resulted in me giving up on the game, though I'm sure more experienced players will enjoy it.

I never thought I'd play a triple A game on my M1 Macbook Air, but here I am. I finished the game on hardcore difficulty setting, all whilst playing the game on the trackpad (with aiming bound to z and zoom to , in order to play decently), and let me tell you this: At no point did I feel the game got too difficult, laggy, slow or annoying. I only ever experienced crashing issues at the early parts of the game. I even managed to get S rank on all shooting galleries using the trackpad. Luckily the trackpad of the Mac is pretty accurate! I just had to bump up the speed a bit in order to keep the aiming fast, because the game can get pretty intense at times. Only annoying part is the huge download size, forcing you to have more than twice the available disk size on hand in order to download or even update the game.

The port is amazing on all apple devices and it works really well. I am exited for the future of triple AAA gaming on IOS/MACOS

Thi game is great and the macOS port is almost flawless. I hope they will bring RE2 Remake and RE3 Remake to Mac as well. However, there are a few tiny visual glitches in the game (e.g., rainbow colours coming out of the sky if seen from specific angles). It didn't bother me at all. I'm taking one star from the rating because the game has an issue with the monitors. I have a standard 1080p monitor in vertical orientation and a 1440p HDR monitor that I use for gaming. If I don't unplug the 1080p monitor, the game will load in the gaming monitor but as it had the specs of the side monitor.

This is one of the best games for Mac including Resident Evil Village. I would like to say more games but these are the one's that i only purchased in the App Store. This game runs very smoothly and i didnt have a problem yet. However i still don't find the settings to make the hair look better. The hair looks in very low quality. The rest of the body, enemies and enviroments looks amazing though. I still don't complete the campaign but until now the game is very fun and has a lot of action, some horror parts that scared me and overall i can say that this game has a lot of tense parts where you feel vulnerable and that's good if you like horror games like me.

This is an amazing port for macOS which really shows the capabilities of Apple Silicon and the Metal 3 graphics API. I'm impressed (and I'm quite picky)! Feels like I'm gaming on a console or gaming PC when playing. Also, the game itself it really well made and immersive. Would give at least four stars and will therefore give five to compensate for the unfair reviews. :P
